The viscosity of the material shall not increase more than 10 s. 3.3 PREPARATI
、ON OF TEST PANELS Prepare according to the following procedure. 3.3.1 Panels Use RIM or microcellular urethane panels of any convenient size, representative of production material. A smooth surface with no pits or blow holes is required. Solvent wipe panels clean before applying primer. 3.3.2 Painti
、ng Prepare panels according to paras 3.3.2.1 and 3.3.2.2. 3.3.2.1 Primer and Enamel - Uncatalyzed System Reduce ESB-M6J123-B1 primer surfacer to spray viscosity as recommended by the supplier. Spray sufficient paint to obtain 20 - 30 m dry film thickness. Bake panels approximately 20 min at 121 C to
、 obtain a surface temperature of 116 C for 10 min. Do not sand. The primer requires the color coat bake for complete cure. Apply ESB-M2J121 elastomeric enamel to one-half of the test panel(s). Bake panels at 121 - 132 C ambient oven temperature for sufficient time to obtain a minimum surface tempera
、ture of 116 C for 20 min with 15 min at 121 C. Surface temperature shall not exceed 20 min at 121 C. The dry film thickness of the enamel shall be 46 m minimum. 3.3.2.2 Primer and Guide Coat - Catalyzed System (Refer to ESB-M99J307) Apply sufficient ESB-M6J123-C primer reduced per supplier recommend
、ations to obtain 13 - 20 m dry film thickness. Flash off 3 - 5 min then apply ESB-M6J123-B2, reduced per supplier recommendations, wet on wet over the ESB-M6J123-C primer to a dry film thickness of 15 - 20 m. Bake panels approximately 12 min at 121 C to obtain a minimum surface temperature of 96 C f
、or 7 min. Cool, then rebake panels at 121 - 132 C ambient oven temperature for sufficient time to obtain a minimum surface temperature of 116 C for 20 min including 15 min at 121 C. Surface temperature shall not exceed 20 min at 121 C. The total dry film thickness shall be 33 m min. ENGINEERING MATE
