、lobal Technologies, Inc. ADHESIVE, EPOXY, ONE PART, THIXOTROPIC ESF-M2G156-A2 NOT TO BE USED FOR NEW DESIGN 1. SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a one-part thixotropic epoxy adhesive. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for a material used where adhesion of ny
、lon to steel is required, such as bonding the rotor coil to the pole pieces in the alternator rotor. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A).
、3.4 THIXOTROPY AND CURE TIME Test Method: Support a piece of 55 x 71/100 mm mesh flyscreen so that the center area is open. Placing the screen over the open end of a 1/2 L can is a satisfactory method. Cut a 25 mm diameter hole in the center of a piece of 3 mm thick material. This may be a metal or
、non-metal. Place 3 mm plate on top of flyscreen. Fill the hole in the plate with resin until it is slightly over full. Scrape off excess resin and remove the plate by lifting it straight up. This should leave a 3 mm thick by 25 mm diameter wafer of approximately 4 g. Place the resin and flyscreen in
、 an air circulating oven which is at 150 +/- 2 C for 30 minutes. The flyscreen should be supported so it is away from the bottom of the oven. After cure, remove from the oven and allow to cool. The resin may pass through the screen slightly, but must not drop off. Check hardness of cured epoxy (Rock

If material exhibits any surface oxidation acid etch (10 % HCL) until visibly clean. Vapor degrease and wipe surface with acetone.
、Apply 0.25 mm wet film of adhesive 6 mm overlap. Cure as above under 4.4 N load. Test at 1.3 mm/minute.
