SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a water dispersed synthetic rubber adhesive. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used to seal the

REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1 VISCOSITY 15 - 19 s (FLTM BU 104-01, 4 hole disc, 250 g load) 3.2 SOLID
4、S, min 45 % (ASTM D 553, 3 h at 102 +/- 3 C) 3.3 COLD FLEXIBILITY Must not crack Test Method: A wet film of adhesive 1/8 x 2 x 9 in (3 x 50 x 175 mm) is applied over a clean 0.030 x 4 x 10 in (0.76 x 100 x 225 mm) aluminum panel and air dried for 48 h at 23 +/- 2 C. Condition at -23 +/- 1 C for 3 h
5、and bend 180 around a 4 in (100 mm) temperature conditioned mandrel. 3.4 SHEAR STRENGTH, min 60 psi (410 kPa) Test Method: Apply adhesive approximately 0.010 in (0.25 mm) thick to the surface of an etched aluminum panel. After 1 min bond a 1 x 3 in (25 x 75 mm) strip of #10 cotton duck to obtain a 1
6、 sq in (6.5 cm2) area. Immediately roll with a 500 g roller (FLTM BU 2-1). Roll 6 forward and 6 back. Air dry 4 h minimum. Bake in an air circulating oven for 30 min at 121 C. Cool to room temperature. Pull at 1 in (25 mm)/min. 3.5 This material is a water dispersion and must be protected from freezing in shipment as well as storage.
