2、ification is a hot melt adhesive based onpolyamide with high filler content.2. APPLICATIONThi s specification was originally released for material, used to bondhardboard parts of the ventilation air duct.3. REQUIREMENTS3.1 STATISTICAL PROCESSSupplie rs must conform to the requirements of Ford Qualit

3、y SystemStand ard Q-101. A mutually acceptable Control Plan as describedtherein is required for material/source approval. Appropriatestatist ical tools must be used to analyze process/product data sothat variation in the final product is continuously reduced.3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THE

4、RMAL ANALYSISFord Motor Company, at its option, may conduct infrared and/ortherma l analysis of material/parts supplied to this specification.The IR spectra and thermograms established for i nitial approval shallconst itute the reference standard and shall be kept on file at thedesignated material l

5、aboratory. All samples sha ll produce IR spectraand thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when testedunder the same conditions.3.3 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONSAll test values indicated herein are based on ma terial conditioned ina control led atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5

12、 homogeneous mixture, free from foreign materialsand properties detrimental to normal production use. The materialmust be capable of regaining its initial physica l characteristics andperformance after recirculation or agitation prior to use.3.11 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITYAll materials supplied to thi

13、s specification must be equivalent inal l characteristics to the material upon which approval wasoriginally granted.Pr ior to making any changes in the properties, composition,co nstruction, color, processing or labelling of the materialorig inally approved under this specification, whether or not s

14、uchchange s affect the materials ability to meet the specificationrequir ements, the Supplier shall notify Purchasing, Toxicology andthe affected Materials Engineering activity of the proposed changesand obtain the written approval of the Materials Engineeringactivity. Test data, t est samples and a

15、 new code identification areto be submitted with the request.Substance restrictions imposed by law, regulations or Ford apply tothe materials addressed by this document. The restrictions aredefined in Engineering Material Specification WS S-M99P9999-A1, unlessa different suffix (e.g., A2 or A3) is s

16、pecified on the engineeringdocument for the application.4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALSMat erials defined by this specification must have prior approval by theresp onsible Materials Engineering activity. Suppliers desiring approvalof thei r materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from theaff

17、ec ted Purchasing, Design and Materials Engineering activity. Uponrequest, the supplier shall submit to the affected Materials Engineeringactivity its own laboratory rep ort to the specification (test results, notnominal values), the material designation and code number, and testspecim ens for Ford

GENERAL INFORMATIONThe information given below is provided for assistance and clarificationand does not represent requirement(s

19、) to this specification.5.1 STORAGE STABILITY 12 months(from date of receipt at FMC)The material must be st able during storage at temperatures between 5C and 32 C.5.2 RECOMMENDED OPERATION TEMPERATURE 170 - 180 C5.3 DEGRADATION POINT 190 CIf the temperature of the adhesive exceeds the d egradation

20、point, theadhesive will decompose and all physical properties become adverselyand permanently affected. The material is not to be used once thedegradation point has been exceeded.5.4 OPEN ASSEMBLY TIME 60 s(At an operation temperature of 170 - 180 C)Open assembly time is the max. time interval fro m initial applicationof the adhesive to the completion of the part assembly for bonding.
