2、easure the vacuum necessary to delaminate the vinyl outside top material from the metal roof panel. Apparatus Required Vacuum Pump The pump should be capable of vacuum to 25 in ches of Mercury with a minimum displacement rate of 1 cubic foot per minute. A control valve and vacuum gauge is required t
3、o regulate the rate and amount of vacuum. Will Scientific Inc. Catalog No. 22691, or equivalent. Glass Funnel Ribbed Funnel, 150 m m diameter. Must be capable of withstanding vacuum applied during test. Will Scientific Inc. Catalog No. 14186, or equivalent. Conditioning and Test Conditions All test
4、values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/ - 2 C and 50 +/ - 5 % relative humidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless otherwise specified. Test Procedure 1. Place the vacuum funnel on the center of th
5、e test panel or on the test vehic les top as illustrated in Figures 1 and 2. 2. After obtaining a good seal (the funnel rim to the top material), increase the vacuum at a rate of 2 inches of Mercury per minute, until the specified amount of vacuum is reached, or the vinyl lifts and domes into the fu
6、nnel (at least half of the surface area). 3. Report to the nearest inch of Mercury, the average of three readings. Top assemblies should be tested in those three critical areas as shown in Figure 2. When a laboratory test is conducted, three separate test panels (12 by 12 inches) should be used. Che
