Materials compounded with recycled oil shall be so identified. 3.14 COMPATIBILITY: All material to this Standard shall be compatible in all proportions with other materials currently approved under these “M“ numbers. Separation, precipitat
9、ion or flocculation of solids or gels shall not be permitted. 3.15 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITY: All materials supplied to this standard must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted and shall be suitable for the intended application. Changes in com
10、position shall not be made with- out approval of the Plant Engineering Office, Manufacturing Staff. 4. APPROVAL OF NEW SUPPLIERS: Materials submitted by new manufacturers to this Standard must have Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Engineering, Laboratory and Shop Trial approvals. Suppliers are requ
11、ired to complete and submit the Material Health and Safety Data Sheet, Form 1291, the Mandatory Reporting of Critical Materials, Form 68-100, prior to shop trial. Recommendations for the addition of new manufacturers to the Manufacturing Approved Source List (ASL) must be made in writing to the resp

ENVIRONMENTAL CONTROL: Use of any material approved to this standard must comply with the guidelines as
13、established in the environmental review of the material, as they appear in the Materials and Toxicology (MATS) System. 6. HEALTH AND SAFETY: The following are recommended practices to be observed when working with petroleum products: a. When contact with oil is unavoidable, impervious gloves should
14、be worn as well as clean work clothes. b. When skin exposure cannot be avoided, removal of oil from the skin should be as prompt as possible. A mild soap or skin cleanser and water should be used to remove oil. Industrial solvents should not be used to clean the skin. c. All skin rashes, lesions, cuts and abrasions should receive prompt medical attention.
