SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a chromate (CrIII) passivating solution. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for materials used as passivating agen

3、ts with zinc phosphate coating. It is used in combination with SK-M5B9580-B, Phosphate Solution, Zinc, pH Correction Agent. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Mater

4、ials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.2 CHEMICAL COMPOSITION Cr III as Cr 5.0 +/- 0.5 % Test Method: 10 ml of the solution are filled up to 1000 ml with distilled water. 15 ml of this solution are mixed with 10 ml sodiumhydroxide solution (10 % by weight) and 10 ml hydrogen-peroxide solution (30 % by weight) and

5、 heated up to boiling. Leave boiling for 30 minutes and cool down. Add 20 ml of a diluted sulphuric acid (25 % by weight) and 3 g potassium iodide. Titrate with 0.1 n sodium thio-sulphate solution against starch (2ml of a 1.0 % containing solution in water), from blue-black to water white. Consumption: 5.0 +/- 0.5 ml 0.1 n sodium thiosulphate solution. 3.3 DENSITY, g/cm31.17 +/- 0.02 (FLTM EU-BI 2-2) 3.4 pH VALUE 1 % SOLUTION BY WEIGHT 4.0 +/- 1.0
