SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a polyethylene molding compound of high density and low melt flow index. 2. APPLICATION The material was originally rel
3、eased as tube for control and actuator assembly headlamp adj. front and rear. 3. REQUIREMENTS Note: The material shall be conditioned for a minimum of 24 h at 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity prior to test and tested under the same conditions unless specified otherwise. The minimum and max
4、imum values of this specification are based on natural colored and pigmented material. 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.1 REQUIREMENTS FOR GRANULES
5、3.1.1 Melt Index, max 0.3 g/10 minutes (ISO R 1133, Method 4, 190 C with a weight force of 21.2 N) 3.2 REQUIREMENTS FOR COMPRESSION MOLDED TEST SPECIMENS All tests shall be carried out on compression molded specimens with the exception of clause 3.2.7. These test specimens may be either compression
6、molded, injection molded or extruded. Preparation of Test Specimens: The test specimens shall be prepared from compression molded sheets of 200 x 200 mm. Preparation of test specimens according to ISO R 293. The optimum molding conditions shall be as recommended by the supplier of the molding compou
7、nd. Annealing is not allowed. 13、ll be determined on 100 x 355 mm specimens with a thickness of 0.9 - 1.1 mm and smooth surfaces. In order to comply with Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard No. 302, the materials, portions of components, and composites shall not burn or transmit a flame across their surface, at a rate of more tha
14、n 100 mm/ minute. To demonstrate compliance, the sample size and method of testing shall be in accordance with FLTM EU-BN 024-02. 3.2.7.2.1 Performance-Environmental Ageing Requirement All materials, portions of components, and composites defined by this specification that have not been treated, mod
15、ified or re-formulated, and exceed a max burn rate of 75 mm per minute as specified by the Flammability Lot Sampling Plan of FLTM EU-BN 024-02, must be evaluated for permanency of the materials flame retardant properties per SK-M99P9500-A, Table 1 according to the accelerated environmental ageing re
16、quirements applicable to the basic material category of this particular specification. Any material, portions of components, and composites defined by this specification that have been treated, modified or reformulated to conform to Flammability Lot Sampling Plan of FLTM EU-BN 024-02, regardless of
17、max burn rate, must be evaluated for both permanency of materials flame retardant properties and changes in mechanical, chemical and physical properties per SK-M99P9500-A, Table 1 applicable to the basic material category of this particular specification. 3.4 SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS OF FINISHED PART S
