SCOPE The materials defined by these specifications is a woven dobby polyester face fabric made from 100% virgin yarn or with a minimum of 25% PIR/PCR (Post industrial/post consumer) recycled yarn. 2. APPLICATION WRS-M1H1158-A20 speci
3、fiction was released originally for material as an interior trim fabric for S-Max and Galaxy 2014 MY seat insert. The fabric was originally approved as tri-laminated. WRS-M1H1158-A22 specification was released originally for material used as an interior trim fabric for 2015 MY Mustang seat insert. T
4、he fabric was originally approved as back-coated with foam. 2.1 LIMITATIONS Calder is to be tested for flammability as a fabric/foam composite not as flat stock.Calder can only be used as a laminated composite (fabric/foam). 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of
5、 approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The list of approved sources is located within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.2 APP
6、EARANCE The color, pattern, and finish shall match the approved Corporate Design master sample. 3.3 FABRIC PERFORMANCE In addition to the requirements listed herein, the fabric shall meet all requirements of WSS-M8P18-B1/B2/B3/B4/latest as applicable. 3.4 VEHICLE INTERIOR ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE M
7、aterials used in interior applications must meet the requirements outlined in WSS-M99P2222-D1/latest, Performance, Vehicle Interior Environmental Quality Material/Component Requirements. Testing of the material should o

14、ipped to any one assembly plant will be produced by one supplier only. 15、s specification must provide a construction package and be approved to meet this specification. 4.2 If yarn is locally sourced it must meet the above fabric construction, composition and yarn construction. The fabric must also meet the requirements of WSS-M8P18-B1/B2/B3/B4/latest. 4.3 Global strateg
16、y for this fabric is to use tri-laminate/foam & scrim construction in all regions. 4.4 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall submi
17、t a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested material samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a minim
18、um of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.5 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material up
19、on which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Mate
20、rials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Productio
21、n Verification (PV) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.6 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1/latest which is updated yearly. It is the suppliers responsibility to comply with this standard on a continuing basis. 5. SUMMARY OF REVISIONS
