SCOPE The material defined by this specification is a flexible foamed polyvinyl chloride compound. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used in exte

3、rior bodyside molding applications under PVC skin. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.0 STANDARD REQUIREMENTS FOR PRODUCTION MATERIALS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Standard Requirements For Production Materials (WSS-M99P1111-A). 3.4 MOLDED TEST SPECIMEN 3.4.1 Preparation of Test

4、 Specimens Unless otherwise specified, all test shall be conducted on specimens die cut from foamed vinyl slabs cut from finished parts. Slabs shall be cut on all sides to 50 x 150 x 2.0 +/- 0.2 mm. 3.4.2 Density, max 1.0 g/cm3(ISO 1183, Method A/ASTM D 792, Method A1) 3.4.3 Hardness, Durometer A 65

5、 - 75 (ISO 868/ASTM D 2240, 6 mm thick plied-up specimens, 15 s delay.) 3.4.4 Tensile Strength, min 6.9 MPa (ISO R 527, type 2/ASTM D 638M, type M-II, 500 mm/min test speed) 3.4.4.1 Elongation at Break, min 150% (Test Method according to para 3.4.4)3.4.5 Tear Strength, min 13 kN/m (ISO 34, Method B,

9、 welting of the painted surfaces in direct contact with the test specimen resulting from this test method is characteristic of plasticized vinyl compounds and shall not be cause for rejection. 3.4.9 Flammability, max 100 mm/minute (ISO 3795 /SAE J369) 3.4.10 Water Absorption, max 1% Conduct test on

10、a part with the finished ends cut off. Test Method: Weigh a sample 413 +/- 3 mm length to the nearest 0.01 g. Bend sample in a U shape and place it into a container with 150 mm of water. Each cut end shall not extend out of the water more than 19 mm. After 24 h at 23 +/- 2 C, remove the sample and c

11、arefully blot with a clean paper towel (without compressing) to remove all surface moisture and immediately reweigh. 5. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. 5.1 Extrusion defined by this specification is to be used under a PVC skin defined by ESB-M4D284-C4. 5.2 This material shall not be used in an application when it will come into contact with a moving painted surface e.g. shed lip.
