SCOPE The materials defined by these specifications are anodic electrocoat primer and associated make-up feed material for no
3、minal 20 micrometre film build. 2. APPLICATION These specifications were released originally for a paint system used as anodic electrocoat primer on phosphated steel wheels sufficient for wet on wet painting with topcoat. 3. REQUIREMENTS WSK-M64J33-A1: The anodic electrocoat primer shall meet all de
4、tailed requirements of this specification. WSK-M64J33-A2: The make-up feed materials shall meet the requirements of para 3.4. When feed material is used in production, the resultant primer shall meet all detailed requirements of this specification. Material specification requirements are to be used
5、for initial qualification of materials. 3.1 QUALITY SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS Material suppliers and part producers must conform to the Companys Quality System Requirements. 3.2 INFRARED SPECTROPHOTOMETRY AND/OR THERMAL ANALYSIS IR spectra and thermograms established for initial approval shall constitute
6、the reference standard and shall be kept on file at the designated material laboratory. All samples shall produce IR spectra and thermograms that correspond to the reference standard when tested under the same conditions. 7、, Ford Global Technologies, Inc. 3.3 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values indicated herein are based on material conditioned in a controlled atmosphere of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5 % relative humidity for not less than 24 h prior to testing and tested under the same conditions unless other
8、wise specified. 3.4 MATERIAL PROPERTIES 3.4.1 Density See Initial Sample (ASTM D 1475) +/- 0,02 g/mL 3.4.2 Non-volatile see Initial Sample (FLTM BI 120-08) +/- 1 % 3.4.3 Weight Loss after baking See Initial Sample (FLTM BI 120-15) +/- 1 % Baking: 10 minutes at 175 C metal temperature. 3.4.4 Solvent
9、Emissions, max. 0.096 kg/L (ASTM D 3960) This requirement is as determined by the United States Environmental Protection Agency Reference Method #24 but is only applicable to materials used in the USA. 3.5 STABILITY 3.5.1 Pumping Stability 14 days (FLTM BI 120-04 or equivalent equipment) After 14 da
10、ys of agitation, the bath material shall meet the requirements of the specification. 3.5.2 Storage Stability: 2 months During a storage of 2 months between 5 and 32 C temperature the make-up feed materials as supplied shall not settle up or cake insoluble. 3.6 PREPARATION OF TEST PANELS 3.6.1 Substr
11、ate: Zinc phosphated Test Panels prepared in accordance with Ford Manufacturing Standard U-MA18004/U-MA18005. 12、 2 C Dry film thickness: 20 - 22 micrometre Pre-baking: 5 minutes at 120 C For preparation of Test Panels without topcoat: Baking: 10 minutes at 175 C 3.6.3 Topcoat: Current approved silver metallic acrylic topcoat for all investigations. Application as required in the relevant Paint Material Specif

Baking: 10 minutes at 175 C 3.6.4 Ageing: All Test Panels prepared according to this specification shall be aged for at least 72 h at 23 +/- 2 C or 16 h at 45 +/- 1 C before testing for resistance properties. 3.7 APPEARANCE 3.7.1 Color See approved sample 3.7.2 Gloss, max. see approved samp
14、le (FLTM BI 110-01, 60 deg) 3.7.3 Leveling The surface of the electrocoat primer shall be smooth without any structure and not more than a minimum of orange peel when applied and baked as required in 3.6. 3.8 RESISTANCE PROPERTIES The following investigations shall be performed on Test Panels prepar

Additional requirements for wheels, tested in car position: No more than 6 mm rust in the joint f
17、rom rim to spider. Testing time shall be reduced to 96 hours for areas that are not visible after assembly. 3.8.4 Water Immersion Test, min. 480 h (FLTM BI 104-01) One hour after test end investigation of adhesion 3.8.1. No blistering, loss of gloss or loss of adhesion accepted. 3.9 FLORIDA WEATHERI
18、NG 12 months (FLTM BI 160-01) Test Panels or Specimens without topcoat, painted according to para 3.6.2 of this specification shall be exposed in the area of Miami, Florida, 5 deg facing south for 6 months exposure time. Examination: No blistering, peeling, loss of adhesion or cracking. Slight chalk
19、ing, yellowing and loss of gloss accepted. 3.10 ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS Test Panels and painted parts prepared according to this specification shall meet all requirements of performance specification WSK-M2P140-A2 for wheels. Additional requirements for material and/or manufactured parts may be spec
20、ified on the Engineering drawing, Engineering parts specification, performance specification, System Design Specification (SDS) and/or Component Design Specification (CDS). 21、 EC-primer must be adaptable for application in accordance with appropriate Ford Motor Company Process Specification. The EC-primer must be compatible with all related materials. 3.12 SUPPLIERS RESPONSIBILITY All materials supplied to this specification must be equivalent in all characteristics to t
22、he material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved under this specification, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the Supplier shall notify the affected Purchasing, and Ma
23、terials Engineering activities (with reasons) of the proposed changes. Upon notification of the Company, further instructions will be provided. Note: Suppliers should be prepared to provide test data and samples demonstrating compliance to this specification, if requested. Substance restrictions imp
24、osed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1. 4. APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Materials defined by this specification for direct supply to the Company must have prior
25、 approval. Certain materials subcontracted by part suppliers may also require prior approval. These include materials critical to the Companys business for regulatory, safety, environmental or compatibility requirements or contractual agreements. Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall
26、first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Materials Engineering activity. Upon request, the Supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with al
27、l the requirements of this specification. 5. GENERAL INFORMATION The information given below is provided for clarification and assistance in meeting the requirements of this specification. 5.1 CORRECTIVE ADDITIVES Corrective additives shall only be used as recommended by the supplier of the electrocoat. The resultant bath material shall meet all requirements of this specification.
