2、E 1. SCOPE The materials defined by this specification are Dilour, non-woven carpets of good quality and uniform composition. The face fiber is virgin polyester and it is back coated with the appropriate weight of polyethylene. 2. APPLICATION This specification was originally released for Ford Focus
3、 MY2018 floor carpet. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The list of approved sour
4、ces is located within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.2 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test values are based on material conditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. Testing
5、of the material should occur in the conditioning environment or soon after removal. 3.3 PERFORMANCE CRITERIA 3.3.1 In addition to the requirements listed herein, the end-item carpet shall be tested to WSS-M8P16-B and any additional SDS requirements. The details for each of the supplier specific cons
6、tructions shall be documented in the supplement attached and uploaded into the scanned data package. 3.3.2 Vehicle Interior Environment Quality Materials/Component Performance Requirements Materials used in interior applications must meet the requirements outlined in WSS-M99P2222-D1/ latest. Data mu
7、st be provided at the appropriate program milestone. 3.4 SAMPLE SELECTION All evaluations shall be conducted on test specimens taken from finished roll goods (including substrate layers) prior to any subsequent operations, such as molding. 3.5 APPEARANCE The color, pattern, and gloss shall match the
8、 approved Corporate Design master sample. 12、isting) WSS-M8P16-B 4.2 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their materials shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials Engineering. The supplier shall submit a completed copy of their laboratory test reports, signed by
13、a qualified and authorized representative of the test facility, demonstrating full compliance with all the requirements of the Material Specification. Tested material samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier will review the asso

15、nt in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prior to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Tech
16、nical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities of the proposed changes (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specificat
17、ions for Design Verification (DV), Production Verification (PV) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.4 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this do
18、cument. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A1 which is updated yearly.
