SCOPE The material defined by this specification is
2、 for Winston pattern, a needled non-woven polyester fabric impregnated with synthetic latex. 2. APPLICATION This specification was released originally for material used as cover material for headliners. Any other applications must be evaluated and approved by the responsible Materials Engineering ac
3、tivity. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 APPROVED SOURCES This specification requires the use of approved sources. Only the sources identified on the Ford Approved Source List (ASL) can be used when this specification is listed on the drawing, CAD file, or other documents. The list of approved sources is located
4、 within Ford at or available externally through a Ford Materials Engineer. 3.2 FABRIC PERFORMANCE 3.2.1 Materials manufactured to this Specification shall also meet the requirements contained in WSS-M8P27-A1/latest. 3.2.2 Materials manufactured to this Specification may also meet the following appl

6、3 APPEARANCE The color, pattern, and finish shall match the approved Corporate Design master sample 3.4 VEHICLE INTERIOR ENVIRONMENTAL PERFORMANCE Materials used in interior applications must meet the requirements outlined in WSS-M99P2222- D1/latest. 3.5 CONDITIONING AND TEST CONDITIONS All test val
7、ues are based on material conditioned for not less than 24 h prior to testing in a controlled environment of 23 +/- 2 C and 50 +/- 5% relative humidity. 11、 questions concerning Engineering Material Specifications. 4.1 Purchase departments will ensure that the material defined in this specification and shipped to any one assembly plant will be produced by one supplier only. In the event of a Global Program or Regional duplication, each regional locatio
12、n of the supplier for this specification must provide a Construction package and be approved to meet this specification. 4.2 If yarn is locally sourced it must meet the above fabric construction, composition and yarn construction. 4.3 APPROVAL OF MATERIALS Suppliers desiring approval of their materi
13、als shall first obtain an expression of interest from Purchasing, Design or Product Development, and Materials Engineering. Tested material samples must be available for review upon request and kept for a minimum of one year. Upon request, the supplier wil
15、l review the associated quality control documents (Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis, Control Plans, Certification testing) with Ford. 4.4 SUPPLIERS ONGOING RESPONSIBILITY All materials must be equivalent in all characteristics to the material upon which approval was originally granted. Prio
16、r to making any changes to the material originally approved, whether or not such changes affect the materials ability to meet the specification requirements, the supplier shall notify the affected Supplier Technical Assistance (STA), Purchasing, and Materials Engineering activities of the proposed c
17、hanges (with reasons) by submission of a completed Suppliers Request for Engineering Approval, SREA. For parts and components using Ford Engineering Material Specifications, all samples tested to the specifications for Design Verification (DV), Production Verification (PV) and Production Part Approv
18、al Process (PPAP) sign off must be kept until Job 1. 4.5 RESTRICTED SUBSTANCE MANAGEMENT STANDARD Substance restrictions imposed by regulations or Company direction applies to the materials addressed by this document. The restrictions are identified in the Restricted Substance Management Standard WSS-M99P9999-A/latest which is updated yearly. It is the suppliers responsibility to comply with this standard on a continuing basis. 5. SUMMARY OF REVISIONS
