This standard is based on ISO 14572, towhich additions have been made in several sections.1.2 Mission / Theme. This standard specifie
3、sdimensions, test methods and requirements forround, sheathed multi-core cables, both screenedand unscreened. The purpose of the cables is tosupply current to power consuming components.1.3 Classification. The inner cores shall fulfill therequirement according to GME14022. Thecablesareclassified by
4、the nominal voltage of the system wherethe cables are used, by wall dimension of the cableinsulation and by the operating temperature.1.3.1 Nominal Voltage System. This standardspecifies dimensions, test methods and requirementsfor following multi-core cables:60 V cables intended for use in road veh
5、icleapplications where the nominal system voltage is60 V DC to protect themfor mechanical stress to avoid shock hazards. Cablesheath for 600 V cables shall be visual identified withpermanent orange colour.1.3.2 Temperature Classes. Eight cable classeshave been defined in Table 1 to respond to thevar
6、ious temperatures encountered on vehicles.Thetemperatureclassratingisestablishedbytherateof the cores and the sheath. The test facilities and equipmentshall be in good working order and shall have a validcalibration label.3.1.2 Alternatives. Alternative test facilities andequipment may also be used. However,
11、all mea-suring variables as specified in this standard shallbe determined correctly with respect to its physicaldefinition.3.1.3 Facilities.3.1.3.1 Ovens. When an oven is required, unlessotherwise specified it shall be a hot air oven. The aircon-tained in the oven shall be completely changeda minimu
12、m of eight times and a maximum of twentytimes per hour at the specified temperature.3.1.4 Equipment. As specified in each test.3.2 Test Samples. Number of test samples isspecified in each section. The cables shall be man-ufactured under full production conditions. No partsout of prototype tools shal
13、l be used.For cables of identical compound: Unless otherwisespecified, multicore/screened wires of 0.35 mm2,0.75 mm2 and 2.5 mm2 shall be tested.3.3 Conditioning. Test samples for all tests shall bepreconditioned for at least 16 h at a temperature of(+23 5) C (room temperature) anda relativehumid-it
14、y of (45.75) %. Unless otherwisespecified, alltestsotherthan “inprocess” testsshallbeconductedatthistemperature.3.4 Documentation. Samples of components ormaterial released to this standard shall be tested forconformity with the requirements of this standard andapproved by the responsible GM Departm
15、ent prior tothe start of delivery of production level componentsor materials.Anychangetothe componentor materiale.g. design,function, properties, manufacturing process and/orlocation of manufacture requires a new releaseof the product. It is the sole responsibility of thesupplier to provide the cust
16、omer, unsolicited, withdocumentation of any change or modification to theproduct/process, and to apply for a new release.If not otherwise agreed to the entire verification testshall be repeated and documented by the supplierprior to start of delivery of the modified or changedproduct. Screening of cable may be done byusing aluminum foil with drain wire, spiral screen orbraid of copper strands. Any foil used for screen shallbe overlapped by
22、 5 % min.4.1.5 Drain Wire. See GME14022 for drain wiresizes and properties.4.1.6 Identification. As part of the work of typetesting, material identification shall be performedby means of determination of various chemicaland physical properties and characteristics in orderto determine the properties
23、and characteristics oftype-tested electrical conductors.This is done in order to obtain reference values thatwould be needed in the event of any claims. Depar-tures from these reference values exceeding normaltolerances shall initiate more extensive inspection inaccordance with this standard.4.1.6.1
24、 IR-spectrum. This method is used for identi-fication of organic compounds and takes place on thebasis of the position and intensity through molecularmovement provoked absorption.The analysis of the insulation shall be performedin delivery condition, and after short-term ageing(240 h).Note: Dependin
25、g on colour batch, small changesand/or deviations are permitted.4.2 Marking. The usage of the marking shall beestablished by agreement between customer andsupplier.Colour-andlasermarkingarepermitted. Whenmark-ing stamped into the insulating material, the raisedstamping shall be 0.020 mm and the embe
26、ddedstamping 0.010 mm.Finalinspectionandapprovalaregivenbytherespon-sible GM department, concerning readability, durabil-ity and sealing effect to single-wire sealings.If not otherwise specified, cables shall be perma-nently marked according to GME14090. In additionthe suppliers type designation sha
27、ll be added. Thismarking shall be repeated at intervals not exceeding200 mm max. along the connector.4.3 Colours. Colours of insulation shall agree rea-sonably closely with the specified colours as shownin GME8740.4.3.1 Dual-colour Cables. Permitted combinationsof colours for single-cores can be fou
