、3 ISSUED DATE: 1997. 05. 09 REVISED DATE: 2008. 10. 15 VERSION: 4 GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology Note: This standard may be applied only for current project (incl. T255 Program). It is Superceded for all future projects and replaced by GMW15094. 1. PURPOSE This standard aims at specifying the procedure
、s and specifications for slam durability test of the door complete and body assembly furnished with all door-related parts of in the vehicle condition. 2. SCOPE This standard applies to the door complete and body assembly of passenger cars. 3. SAMPLE PREPARATION 3.1. Samples shall be the door comple
、te and body assembly furnished with all door-related parts specified in drawings. Test shall basically be conducted with the front LH and rear RH doors. It, however, may be changed following consultation with the design engineer. 3.2. Samples shall be composed of components and parts meeting materia
、l and dimensional requirements in drawings. Following consultation with the design engineer, however, they may be composed of parts for developmental use. 3.3. Samples shall be assembled to the sequence of vehicle assembly process and each sample shall be fastened with the minimum torque specified i
、n drawings. 3.4. After adjusting the gap and offset of the door complete and body assembly, measure the initial dimensions. 3.5. Apply grease once to the moving part prior to test according to drawing specifications. 4. TEST PROCEDURES AND CONDITIONS The test procedures and requirements shall be dec
、ided to consult with a client (or designer). If there are no additional requirements, carry out the following procedures and requirements. 4.1. Outside Slam 4.1.1. The door complete shall initially be fully closed. The location of the window glass shall conform to the test conditions. 4.1.2. Operate
、 the outside handle to release the door latch (Unlatch). 4.1.3. Open the door to the full open position (before the door hinge contacting position). 4.1.4. Push the door panel below the outside handle at the specified slam speed to close the door to the full latched position. EDS-T-3230TEST STANDARD

The door complete shall initially be fully closed. The location of the window glass shall conform to th
、e test conditions. 4.2.2. Operate the inside handle to release the door latch. 4.2.3. Open the door to the full open position. 4.2.4. Pull the handle of the trim at the specified slam speed to close the door to the full latched position. 4.2.5. Repeat 4.2.2 4.2.4 to the specified slam cycles. 4.3. T
、est Equipment 4.3.1. The handle shall return to the original state immediately after operation. While being restored, the handle shall not subject to interference or additional loads. 4.3.2. Door opening and closing motion shall be conducted smoothly. 4.3.3. During opening/closing, the door shall no
、t be subjected to overload. 4.4. Test Conditions 4.4.1. Conduct a total of 100,000 cycles of slam test. Upon completing every 25,000 cycles and completing the entire slam durability test, check the state of the sample (4.4.7, 4.4.8, 4.4.9) and measure operating efforts (4.4.10). When test is conduct
、ed separately for outside slam and inside slam, conduct a 50,000 cycles for each. 4.4.2. Frequency of door slam test shall be max. 5 cycles/min. 4.4.3. Conduct 50,000 cycles with the window glass full closed, 25,000 cycles with half open and 25,000 cycles with full open. 4.4.4. When test is conducte
、d with the vehicle, lower the window glass of the opposite side in order to avoid pressure rise in the cabin. 4.4.5. Conduct respective 25,000 cycles of slam test for each door closing speed of 1.0 m/sec, 1.4 m/sec, 1.8 m/sec and 2.2 m/sec. 4.4.6. Slam speed deviation shall be controlled to 0.1 m/se
、c. 4.4.7. When samples are damaged during test, damaged parts shall be replaced with new ones to continue test. 4.4.8. Measure the door height at the door latched position and just unlatched position to check sag of the door. 4.4.9. Measure the gap and offset of the door complete and body assembly.
、4.4.10. To figure out change in operating efforts, measure the followings before and after test: EDS-T-3230TEST STANDARD FOR DOOR SLAM PAGE: 3/3 ISSUED DATE: 1997. 05. 09 REVISED DATE: 2008. 10. 15 VERSION: 4 GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology (1) With the door fully latched, measure the operating effort t
、o release the latch with the outside handle. (2) With the door fully latched, measure the operating effort to release the latch with the inside handle. 5. EVALUATION AND ANALYSIS When samples are broken before completing the total cycles of slam test (100,000 cycles), reject the concerned sample and analyze the cause of breakage. Breakage during durability test is defined as follows. 5.1. Partial separation and detachment of parts 5.2. Sample is unable to operate 5.3. Full opening/closing of door is impossible. 5.4. Cracks in panel
