PURPOSE This procedure verifies the forward strength of the rear seat cushion stopper on the back against force from cargo loads upon rapid braking or frontal collision. 2. SCOPE All types of rear seats with foldable cushions and backs by employing cushion stopper functio
4、n 3. TEST SAMPLES Minimum three new assembled rear cushions 4. TEST EQUIPMENT AND JIG 4.1. Jig for fixing the rear cushions in actual field conditions, or those of BIW 4.2. Leveling surface table 4.3. Measuring instrument for loads The measuring instrument shall be capable of measuring the load with
5、 maximum resolution of 0.5 kgf. 4.4. Weight loading equipment Equipment capable of loading the weight greater than 500 kgf 4.5. Weight loading jig A rigid plate 100 mm thick and wider than the cushion 5. METHODS AND SPECIFICATIONS OF TEST 5.1. Preparation 5.1.1. Fit the cushion-fixing jig in an actu
6、al vehicle or on the leveling surface table, and then mount a cushion on the jig. 5.1.2. Fold the cushion, and install the weight loading equipment on the center of the weight-loading jig. 5.2. Test Method 5.2.1. Apply the load equivalent to cargo load x 0.6 kgf in speed of 300 mm/min on a position
