、nd replaced by GMW15310. 1. PURPOSE This standard determines test procedures and required standards to measure the temperature stability of the plastic surge tank containing engine-cooling antifreeze-engine coolant. 2. SCOPE This standard determines the method for measuring external change of the ta
、nk and the leak of the solution after applying a given temperature for a given time. 3. TEST SPECIMEN 3.1. Use an assembly including subparts for a test sample 3.2. Use more than 3 pieces of samples. 3.3. Unless otherwise specified, test the supplied one without special pretreatment. 4. TEST EQUIPME
、NT 4.1. Force air-circulating oven for keeping the temperature at 2.5K. 4.2. Cold chamber for keeping the temperature at -303K. 4.3. Antifreeze-engine coolant (Water: EDS-M-8207 = 56 : 44 Vol %) 4.4. Clamp for fastening all hose connections of the surge tank to prevent leak 5. TEST METHOD 5.1. Heat-
、resistance test 5.1.1. Fasten all hose connections with clamps to prevent the solution from leaking. 5.1.2. Fill the solution up to the maximum line and close the cover. 5.1.3. Left the surge tank in the air-circulating oven, which the temperature can be kept at 1152.5K, for 240 hours in the same di
、rection as that of a vehicle. 5.1.4. During or after the test, visual-check for the leak of the antifreeze-engine coolant and other defects(fine crack, whitening). 8、0. 27 VERSION: 4 GM DAEWOO Auto & Technology 5.2. Low temperature-resistance test 5.2.1. Fasten all hose connections with clamps. 5.2.2. Fill the solution up to the maximum line and close the cover. 5.2.3. Left the surge tank in the cold chamber, which temperature can be kept at -303K, for 24 hours
、in the same direction as that of a vehicle. 5.2.4. During or after the test, visual-check for the leak of the anti-freezing solution and other defects(fine crack, whitening). 5.3. Temperature-resistance circulation test 5.3.1. Fasten all hose connections with clamps. 5.3.2. Fill the anti-freezing so

Keep the surge tank under the following conditions in the same direction as that of a vehicle. 8020Hrs 9070Hrs 1005Hrs 1104.5Hrs 1250.5Hrs -3024Hrs 5.3.4. Repeat the above temperature circulation 3 times. 5.3.5. During or after the test, visu
、al-check for the leak of the antifreeze-engine coolant and other defects (fine crack, whitening). 6. EVALUATION 6.1. Make sure that fine cracks and other defects in the connections shall not lead to antifreeze-engine coolant leak and harmful change. 6.2. But, the permanent swollenness in the top and bottom side of the surge tank is permissible. 7. CODE SYSTEM This system shall be indicated as the following in the technical drawing or standard. “EDS-T-4710”
