PURPOSE AND APPLICATION This test method describes the test cycle for performance of a salt spray test for electric/electronic components in vehicle which are not mounted in vehicle internal space. Furthermore, details over requirements to these components are also included. 2. TEST
4、SAMPLE AND TEST AMOUNT 2.1. Unless otherwise specified, tests are to be performed at finish parts or complete assembly. 2.2. Unless otherwise specified, minimum 3 piece of concerned components are to be delivered for first sampling and release test to this specification. 3. TEST EQUIPMENT 3.1. Test
5、equipment to EDS-T-7143 3.2. Thermal cabinet with natural ventilation, controllable, which is able to hold constantly required temperatures within 2.5K. 3.3. Controllable voltage source 0 to 24V, minimum loadability 25A, for voltage supply of specimen. 4. PERFORMANCE 4.1. The test is to be performed
6、 at components with all connections, cables and plugs with electric supply and mounted in mounting position. 4.2. Temporal process 4.2.1. Thermal pretreatment Temperature storage of component for 1h at +802.5K(without electric function). 4.2.2. Cycle(1 week) 24 h storage in salt spray fog to EDS-T-7

9、ocess 4.3.1. During storage in salt spray fog, the board mains voltage is applied at component as in vehicle in state: “ignition on“. 4.3.2. The component is switched on during this time every 20 minutes for 10 minutes according to function. This can be either a permanent switching-on or a switching
10、-on with equal rhythm, as it is required at fatigue test of component specified in the respectively concerning technical delivery conditions. 4.3.3. With beginning of drying times specified under clause 4.2.2, the voltage supply of component is disconnected(as in vehicle in state: “ignition off“). 4
11、.3.4. 10 minutes before passing of respective drying time, the component is tested switched-on as under clause 4.3.1 and according to function. 4.3.5. Deviations from here defined electric stress are determined in technical delivery conditions accurate for the test part. 5. REQUIREMENTS During and a
12、fter this test process the function of component must be guaranteed, the functional values must be within tolerance ranges prescribed in valid technical delivery conditions or on drawing. 6. DETAILS IN DRAWINGS, TEST SPECIFICATIONS AND SUCH THINGS This test method is specified in drawings, test spec
13、ifications and such things as follows: Salt spray test to EDS-T-5246 test method marking 7. DEVIATIONS Deviations from conditions of this test method must be agreed. These conditions are prescribed in component drawings, material specifications and such things or must be specified in test certificates, reports and such things.
