This standard specifies the determination method of evaporation loss of lubricating oils (particularly motor oils) at high temperatures to prevent the engine inside from its performance deteriorat

4、ion caused by decrease of lubricating oils. 1.2 Applicability. This standard applies to the test of determining evaporation loss of additive and non-additive type lubricating oils at temperatures up to 350 E using a NOACK tester. 2 References Note: Only the latest approved standards are applicable u

7、f the determination, the tube connection shall be detached from the outlet tube on the crucible. The crucible shall be carefully lifted out. Any Woods alloy adhering to the crucible shall be removed with a brush or a cloth and returned into the heating block. 4.2.15 After cooling down to the room te

8、mperature the crucible shall be weighed again with the cover removed. 4.2.16 In order to remove any coking residues, it is recommended to place the crucible and the cover together with the outlet tube in a container filled with toluene after every test and let them soak in this bath for 30 minutes a

9、t least. Here, using a wad of cotton wool soaked in toluene is desirable. 5 Data 5.1 Evaluation.
