2、Scope 1.1 Material Description. This specification covers the properties of integrally colored, weather resistant, 275 MPa nominal flexural modulus polyolefin alloy, pellet form, injection molding compound. For the purpose of this specification, polyolefin alloy is defined as an alloy of polypropyle

3、ne plastic and Ethylene Propylene (EP) or Ethylene Propylene Diene Monomer (EPDM) rubber. 1.1.1 Additional Characteristics. Materials certified to this material specification may have additional characteristics, e.g., paintable, elastomer modified, etc. Possible additional characteristics are define

4、d in GMW3013. 1.2 Symbols. The material abbreviation according to ISO 11469 is PP+EPDM-M10 All failures must be ductile Multiaxial Impact Strength at -30 2 C ASTM D3763, specimen C, 2.2 m/s impact velocity J at maximum load 15 All failures must be ductile Multiaxial Impact Strength at 23 5 C ISO 660

5、3-2/40/20/C/4.4. Sample to be either square 60 mm x 60 mm minimum, or circle 60 mm diameter minimum. Sample thickness to be 2 mm 0.1 mm. 9、athering, natural weathering results take precedence. Note 2: For integrally colored compounds, the color of each test specimen shall be measured per SAE J1545, CIELAB color space, 10 observer, illuminant D65, specular included, sphere geometry, before and after exposures. In case of conflict betwee

10、n accelerated and natural weathering, natural weathering takes precedent. Prior to making measurements and observations on weathered specimens, wash the specimens with a solution consisting of 2 g No. 7 Car Wash Concentrate (distributed by Armor All Products, Aliso Viejo, CA 92656) and 1 L deionized

11、 water 22 3 C. Use a soft sponge saturated with the solution and scrub the samples with a firm action. 5 Rules and Regulations 5.1 Legal Regulations. All materials must satisfy applicable laws, rules, regulations and recommendations valid in the country of usage. 5.2 Language. In the event of confli

12、ct between the English and domestic language, the English language shall take precedence. 5.3 Inspection and Rejection. Samples of components or materials released to a GM material specification shall be tested for conformity with the requirements of this material specification and approved by the r

13、esponsible Engineering department prior to commencement of delivery of bulk supplies. A new approval must be received for any changes, e.g., properties, manufacturing process, location of manufacture, etc. If not otherwise agreed, all testing and documentation normally required for initial release m

14、ust be completed. It is the responsibility of the supplier to inform the customer in a timely manner, without solicitation, and to include documentation of all modifications of materials and/or processes and to apply for a new release. If not otherwise agreed, all release tests shall be repeated and

15、 documented by the supplier prior to commencement of delivery of non-conforming bulk supplies. In individual cases, a shorter test can be agreed to between the responsible Engineering department and the supplier. 5.4 Initial Source Approval. No shipments shall be made by any supplier until represent

16、ative initial production samples have been approved by the appropriate Materials Engineering department(s) as meeting the requirements of this specification. For new product submissions, or when a change in chemical composition of an ex

18、isting product has occurred, a complete copy of the Material Safety Data Sheet/Safety Data Sheet must be submitted in compliance with the Globally Harmonized System of Classification and Labeling of Chemicals (GHS) requirements or other country-specific MSDS/SDS requirements. In addition, product MS

19、DS/SDS submissions must be in compliance with specific country General Motors TMC003 Material Safety Data Sheet/Safety Data Sheet guidance documents where available. 5.6 All materials supplied to this standard must comply with the requirements of GMW3059, Restricted and Reportable Substances for Par

20、ts. 6 Approved Sources Engineering qualifications of an approved source are required for this standard. Only sources listed in the GM Materials File (i.e., MATSPC) under this standard number have been qualified by Engineering as meeting the requirements of this standard. 7 Notes 7.1 Glossary. MATSPC
