The open end wrenches shall have fixed wrench openings with 15 degree (plus or minus 5 degrees) offset wrench heads on each end as illustrated below, and shall be capable of withstanding a torsion load as shown in t
3、he table below without formation of a permanent set exceeding 5 degrees, formation of cracks, or fracture of heads or handles, and without perceptible indentation or gouging of the bearing surface of the serrations. 7、 or cast of beryllium copper or aluminum bronze alloy having an iron content not over five percent, and when present, it shall be well diffused throughout the alloy. When tested with a magnetic permeability indicator conforming to Military Specification MIL-1-17214, the magnetic permeability shall n
8、ot be above 1.2 on the indicator scale. Workmanship. Wrenches shall be smoothly finished and free from burrs and rough edges. Wrench openings shall be smooth and well defined. Marking. Each wrench shall be marked in a plain and permanent manner with the wrench opening sizes, name, abbreviation, or c
9、hemical symbol of the alloy, the manufacturers name or trademark of such known character that the source of manufacture may be readily determined, and the country of origin. Quality assurance provisions, Sampling for inspection shall be in accordance with MIL-STD-105, Sampling Procedures and Tables
10、for Inspection by Attributes, except where otherwise indicated herein. The lot size shall consist of all wrenches offered for acceptance at one time. A sample unit shall be one wrench. A. Examination for design, dimensions and workmanship. The inspection level shall be S-2 with an acceptable quality
11、 level (AQL) of 4.0 percent defective. B. Material. Material shall be ascertained by manufacturers certification. C. Torsion moment test. Torsion moment testing shall be in conformance with commercially accepted procedures. The inspection level shall be S-2 with an AQL of 4.a percent defective. Regu
