SCOPE This specification covers the requirements of a pressure sensitive deadener patch. The deadener patch is supplied with release paper on one side and a suitable constraining la
3、yer (polyethylene, aluminium, fibreglass, stainless steel etc.) on the other. A typical application would include dampening sheet metal closure panels such as decklids, hoods or doors. The deadener must adhere to CRS, zinc anneal, zinc-iron and galvanised panels and be compatible with production pro
4、cessing oils. Material must be supplied to ensure dimensional stability, no blocking and ease of release paper removal under typical production conditions. 2. MATERIAL REQUIREMENTS (continued) 3.3 Adhesion to oily steel Max slide 5mm Apply 3g/m2 of standard production press oil to a 100mm x 300mm CRS panel. Bend the panel at its mid-length point to form a 60
8、 acute angle. Attach a 50mm x 100mm piece of material to one inside face and apply 2kPa pressure for 10 seconds uniformly over the area of the patch. Stand up the test assembly so that the test piece is on the underside of the folded panel and 60 to horizontal per Figure 1. Leave in standard conditi
9、ons (20C, 65% RH) for 3h, then examine for evidence of deformation, slippage or loss of adhesion. Place in same orientation in an oven for 20 minutes (hold) at 190C. PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS 4.1 Noise and Vibration test Material will be fitted to production panel and submitted to a Noise and Vibration test engineer for measuremen
13、t of the Decay Rates and Frequency Responses. A minimum of a rating 8 on the N&V rating scale is required. 4.2 Cold impact resistance A 50mm x 200mm patch is applied centrally on a 100mm x 300mm panel. After baking, condition the test piece for 4 hours at 30C. The material shall not crack not lose a
14、dhesion after two 1.69J impacts. The two impacts are made with a 51mm diameter 2” steel ball weighing 535g. 4.3 Corrosion resistance Prepare test panel as per section 3.6 then process through the complete production cleaning, pre-treatment and ELPO lines. Remove after ELPO oven and subject to 20 cyc
15、les scab (HN 0214). When complete, remove the patch and assess. There shall be no evidence of corrosion under patch. 4.4 Humidity resistance (GM4465P) Prepare test panel as per section 3.6 then process through the complete production cleaning, pre-treatment and ELPO lines. Remove after ELPO oven and
16、 subject to 3 weeks at 38C, 100%RH. Upon removal, conduct cold impact test. There shall be no loss of adhesion or delamination. 4.5 Heat resistance Prepare test panel as per section 3.6 then process through the complete production cleaning, pre-treatment and ELPO lines. Remove after ELPO oven and su
17、bject to 14 days at 70C. Upon removal conduct cold impact test. There shall be no loss of adhesion or delamination. 19、the laminate shall be capable of withstanding a temperature of 55 C for a period of 72 hours without cold flowing or blocking or laminate separation. 5.2 Low Temperature Stability As shipped, the laminate shall be capable of withstanding a temperature of 10 C for a period of 72 hours without crackin
20、g or laminate delamination. 5.3 Storage Stability As shipped, the shelf life of the material shall be 60 days at a temperature of 35 C. The shelf life of the material shall commence upon receipt of the material from the manufacturer. NOTE: Material conditioned in the above environments (5.1, 5.2 & 5
