Suppliers are required to assume all patent liability. 2008 by Navistar, Inc. 5.0 PROCEDURE 5.1 Apply a sufficient amount of the chemical to be tested (approximately 15-30 mm dia
、meter area) to separate areas of the test panel or test part. 5.2 Allow the cleaning solution/product to set for 5 minutes before proceeding. 5.3 Perform Crocking Test as per AATCC Test Method 8, Section 9.1. 5.4 Remove test chemical from subject material, lightly clean if necessary, and examine. 6.
、0 EVALUATION6.1 Report results separately for each cleaning solution tested. 6.2 Evaluate the tested areas for color changes as per AATCC Test Method 8; Section 10. 6.3 Evaluate the base material for changes or staining. 7.0 REPORT 7.1 Test results should be organized in accordance with the guidelin
、es described in AATCC Test Method 8, Section 11. 7.2 Report results in accordance with procedure outlined in TMS-9543. 8.0 RECOMMENDED GUIDELINES 8.1 The referring specification shall detail the pass-fail criteria. This is intended as a guideline for that specification. 8.2 Certain chemicals may be
、considered inappropriate for some base materials. For instance TMS-7121 does not test Petroleum Naptha (4.1.3) on leather hides. Other combinations are similarly unsuitable. Please consult Materials Engineering for further guidance. 8.3 Minimum AATCC rating of 4 on the AATCC Color Transference Chart
、. Materials with a rating of 3 may be further reviewed with engineering. 8.4 The base material shall not show any signs of color change, tackiness or other deleterious effects. Pictures and/or samples shall be provided with the engineering report and any questionable or marginal results shall be reviewed with engineering prior to completing the report.
