Fr
3、om January 1, 2000 and beyond, billing and accounting systems that rely on this notation to specify a billing/accounting date may interpret the 00 in the YY field as the year 1900, thereby creating possible difficulties in the billing of calls and reconciling of accounts. To avoid difficulties with
4、the YY notation in billing and accounting systems, it is recommended that a computer programming logic change within the appropriate billing and accounting systems be made. An example of the type of programming logic change to be used is: If YY = xx, then YY = 19YY For consistency in use in applications involving this Recommendation, it is suggested that the value of xx, as used in the above example, should be the same. One possible value for this use is 50. The above action has been endorsed by the Study Group 3 held in Geneva from 2 to 12 June 1998
