4、ional Telecommunication Union (KU) is the United Nations specialized agency in the field of telecommunications. The ITU Telecommunication Standardization Sector (ITU-T) is a permanent organ of ITU. ITU-T is responsible for studying technical, operating and tariff questions and issuing Recommendation
5、s on them with a view to standardizing telecommunications on a worldwide basis. The World Telecommunication Standardization Conference (WTSC), which meets every four years, establishes the topics for study by the ITU-T study groups which, in turn, produce Recommendations on these topics. The approva
6、l of ITU-T Recommendations is covered by the procedure laid down in WTSC Resolution l. In some areas of information technology which fall within ITU-Ts purview, the necessary standards are prepared on a collaborative basis with IS0 and IEC. NOTE In this Recommendation, the expression “Administration
7、“ is used for conciseness to indicate both a telecommunication administration and a recognized operating agency. 16、M cells, new loopback type, larger PM block sizes) in networks that also include equipment designed according to previous versions of ITU-T Recommendation 1.61 O that do not support this new functionality. 11 Backward compatibility Equipment compliant with 1995 or earlier versions of ITU-T Recommend
17、ation 1.610 will not generate segment VPNC-AIS OAM cells, will not detect the segment VPNC-AIS cells and associated defect conditions and will not declare the segment VPNC-AIS state. When there is a situation in which a 1999 version of an 1.610 compliant segment endpoint is interworking with equipme
18、nt compliant with 1995 or earlier versions of 1.610 within the segment, it will be necessary to use segment CC OAM to be able to declare a segment VPNC AIS state. Equipment compliant with 1995 or earlier versions of ITU-T Recommendation 1.610 will not generate segment VPNC-RD1 OAM cells, will not de
19、tect the segment VPNC-RD1 cells and associated defect conditions and will not declare the segment VPNC-RD1 state. Equipment compliant with 1995 or earlier versions of this ITU-T Recommendation will not recognize the all-Os LLID code in segment LB OAM cells as an MLT code. Equipment compliant with 19
20、95 or earlier versions of this ITU-T Recommendation will not recognize the codes for PM block sizes above 1024. 2.3 Subclause 111.3.1.2 (Appendix III) Add a Note at the end of the second paragraph in subclause 111.3.1.2: NOTE - When an unintended branch exists between CPID (c) and a second VPI VCI within CPID (d), two seg-LB cells will be returned with LLID is CPID (d). An additional (8th) LB cell will be returned if the CP following CP with CPID (r) has the W1 VCr listed as an expected VPI VCI.
