The System Under Test (SUT) is functionally a Terminal Equipment of Type 1 (TEl), a Terminal Adapter (TA) or a Network Termination of type two (NT2). The test methodo
24、logy is the “layer embedded testing” as described in Recommendation X.29 1 i. It is possible that the entire test suite is not applicable for all IUTs. A test selection procedure has to be performed to determine the applicability of a test to a particular IUT. Such selection shall be based on the Pr

The abstract test cases contained in this Recommendation are a comprehensive reflection of the base standards. This test suite tests that the IUT does not violate any of the procedures

In order to allow for conditions where the SUT might send extraneous messages, the design of the suite is s

32、Telecommunications Union/ITU TelecommunicationsLicensed by Information Handling ServicesITU-T RECMN*Q.q33 BIS 95 - 462591 Ob12285 736 I.1.3 Definitions This test suite uses valid, syntactically invalid and inopportune messages to test the IT behaviour. These terms are defined as follows: - A valid m
33、essage is one that is allowed by Annex AJQ.933 and is both syntactically correct and occurs or arrives in an allowed context. - An inopportune message is one that, although syntactically correct, occurs or arrives at a point when not allowed to do so by Annex AJQ.933. - A syntactically invalid messa
34、ge is one that, syntactically, is not allowed by Annex NQ.933. The naming conventions used throughout these suites for test case identifiers are given in II.2.1. 11.2 General aspects As per Recommendations X.290 and X.291 of testing i, “a complete and independent specification of the actions require
35、d to achieve a specific test purpose” is called an abstract test case. The abstract test cases for Annex WQ.933, are defined at the level of abstraction of layer embedded testing methodology. The test cases, along with the test body, include a preamble and a postamble, which are defined below, to en

Each group is further divided into subgroups: - General: contains valid and inopportune test cases. - Error: contains invalid test
37、cases. - System: contains system parameters test cases. The test case identifiers are of the form: bJYz for Periodic Polling Procedures; BJYz for Bidirectional Procedures, where: xx YY 2 is the state number SO, S1, S2, S3 or nothing; is the event identifier; and is the event class, V: Valid, I: Inop
38、portune, N: “jntax Error. II.2.2 Preamble The preamble of a test case consists of the step required to bring the iUT to the appropriate initial state. II.2.3 Test body The test body is the sequence of steps within a test case that is essential to achieve the test purpose, followed by the verificatio
39、n of the Ws ending state. Verdicts are assigned to the possible outcomes of the test cases. 4 Recommendation Q.933 bis (10/95) COPYRIGHT International Telecommunications Union/ITU TelecommunicationsLicensed by Information Handling ServicesITU-T RECMN*Q.933 BIS 95 = 4862593, 0632286 672 It is importa

If one assumes that all states are implemented, it is not possible to obtain unique traces or signature which would guarantee that the IUT is in the expected state. Verification r
41、outines are written with no reliance on the IUTs state. They use a unique signature observable externally to the IUT. II.2.4 Postamble At the end of the execution of a test body, the IUT may not be in an “idle state”. A postamble is required to bring the IUT from the ending state to an “idle state”.
42、 For all states, a STATUS message is sent to the IT upon the reception of a STATUSENQUIRY. Ii.2.5 Timer definitions The timer types and values used by the tester are those types and default values defined in Annex NQ.933. II.2.6 PICSPEUT relationship to abstract test suite There are instances when t
43、he execution of a test case depends on the answer to a PICS or PIXIT question (II.2.8 Test case selection). II.2.7 PEUT proforma Information supplied by the IUT provider in section IV (electronic format) will be used to configure the tester to execute the conformance test suite. The PIXIT covers all
44、 the parameters needed for Part 1 and 3 and for Annex A, Part 1 and 3 as well. II.2.8 Test case selection The Test Case Selection is done by means of the PICS and PIXIT and may be found in the Test Case Selection Expression Definition Table of the Abstract Test Suite. 11.3 Abbreviations For the purp
