4、 use. 1.0 APPLICATION This specification applies to fluorocarbon refrigerant for initial filling or recharging of refrigerant systems 2.0 SCOPE This specification covers the Companys essential property requirements for fluorocarbon refrigerant for initial filling or recharging of refrigerant systems
5、 and test methods to be used to verify compliance. These refrigerants will be: dichlorodifluoromethane, CFC-12 (R-12), and 1,1,1,2 - tetrafluoroethane, HFC-134a (R-134a), as defined by the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air Conditioning Engineers in ANSI/ASHRAE 34-1992. Federal Legi
6、slation (CFR 40-82) has mandated that the manufacture of chlorofluorocarbon refrigerants (CFCs) in automotive air conditioning systems be halted. The use of the environmentally acceptable HFC-134a (R-134a) refrigerant was initiated in Navistar production facilities in January 1993. Further use of th
7、e CFC-12 (R-12) refrigerant is restricted to field service applications in product produced prior to January 1993. The use of all other ozone depleting chemicals in Navistar products is restricted. 2.1 Restricted Chemical Substances Effective January 1, 2007, all product supplied to the requirements

L-21 Cherry Lane, New Castle, DE 19720. 9.0 SOURCE APPROVAL AND QUALITY CONTROL 9.1 Supplier Requirements All suppliers to NAVISTAR are subject to the requirements defined in ISQ-001-QM- NAVISTAR Integrated Supplier Quality Requirements
20、. Suppliers must be compliant with ISO 9001 or TS 16949 and fulfill all AIAG PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation and all approval requirements as indicated in NAVISTAR ISQ-001-QM. 9.2 Approval Parts supplied against contracts or purchase orders citing this specification shall be eq
21、uivalent in all respects to those samples which were approved by the purchaser. No changes in formulation or processing practices are permitted without approval. In the event that changes in material, properties, processing practices, construction, color, or labeling of the product are required, the
22、 supplier shall notify NAVISTAR Integrated Supplier Quality (ISQ) of the proposed change(s) by contacting their Navistar Supplier Quality representative or sending an email to ISQ. Test data indicating conformance to all requirements of this specification, test samples, and new or amended or updated
23、 SDS Safety Data Sheet(s) (formerly MSDS) in accordance with CFR Title 29, Part 1910, shall be submitted with the request for change. 9.3 Process Control The supplier shall either perform and report results of tests on specific lots of parts produced using ISO 9001 or TS-16949 guidelines, or provide
24、 statistical evidence of the lot having been produced in a state of statistical control and with a process capable of providing all required properties. The part supplier and the quality control manager of the using Navistar plant may determine testing and reporting requirements on specific products
25、. 10.0 DESIGNATION ON ENGINEERING DRAWINGS AND PURCHASE ORDERS Air Conditioner Refrigerant HFC-134a per MPAPS B-41 (Formerly CEMS B-41) 11.0 PACKING AND SHIPPING Packing, shipping and identification will be in accordance with NAVISTAR Supplier Packing and Shipping Standard D-13. 11.1 When delivered
26、in bulk quantities, each shipment will be accompanied by a certificate of conformance to the requirements of this specification and will include: name of supplier, batch number, and date of manufacture. 11.2 When packaged for retail sale, the material will be supplied in containers which have been a
27、pproved by the Parts Marketing Division of the Parts Marketing Operation at Navistar WHQ, Lisle Illinois. Small containers packaged for retail sales will have a net packaged weight of 15 ounces (425 grams) minimum. Identification information and markings will also be in accordance with requirements
28、set forth by Parts Marketing Division. Individual metal containers and cartons for packaging multiple numbers of individual metal containers will both comply with Interstate Commerce Commission specifications. 11.3 Containers will display the following precautionary note: Do not expose to temperatur
