6、test. 4.3.7 Flammability Requirement Material and parts supplied to this specification shall conform to and be certified by the supplier to meet the requirements of (CFR 49, Part 571.302) Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard #302 - Flammability of Interior Materials, and the requirements of MPAPS P
7、-9544. 4.3.8 Sound Absorption Properties 4.3.8.1 METHOD: Test in accordance with ASTM C 384 (ASTM E 1050 is considered equivalent). 4.3.8.2 REQUIRED: Shall meet the indicated minimum requirements for absorption coefficients for each type as indicated below. 4.3.8.2.1 Type IA and IB: No specific acou
8、stic absorption requirements 4.3.8.2.2 Type II: Normal-incidence absorption shall be measured at: 500, 630, 800, 1000, 1250, 1600, 2000, 2500, 3150, and 4000 Hz. The normal-incidence absorption coefficient at any one frequency shall not be less than 0.20 and the average of the normal incidence absor
9、ption coefficients shall not be less than 0.70. 5.0 QUALITY This material shall have necessary flexibility to meet contour requirements without separation, and be free from residual asphalt and other contaminants which may cause the padding to stain trim cover materials. 6.0 QUALIFICATION Engineerin
10、g qualification of sources is required in advance of production shipments. Samples shall be accompanied by test data certifying that all requirements of the specification have been met. Suppliers shall submit samples for approval of finish, luster, color and appearance to the Navistar Industrial Des
11、ign Group. Upon approval, styling master samples denoting the minimum level of acceptable appearance quality shall be developed and retained by the supplier and the quality department of each using NAVISTAR facility.
