SCOPE 1.1 Scope - This specification covers design and all performance requirements for an electrically-operated, self-contained, air compressor for we in aircraft armament pneumatic systems. 1.2 Classification - Pneumatic compressors shall be of the follow- ing Aero types as specified (see 6.2).

REQUIREMENTS *3.1 Preproduction - The compressor furnish
12、ed under this specifi- cation shall be a product, samples of which have been tested and have passed the preproduction test specified herein. *3.2 Selection of Government Documents - Specifications and stan- dards for necessary commodities and services not specified herein shall be se- lected in acco
13、rdance with MIL-STD-143,cept as provided in 3.2.1 and 3.2.2. 3.2.1 Commercial Parts - Comercial parts having suitable properties shall be used, when, on the date of invitation for bids, there are no suitable standard parts. In any case, comercial parts, such as screws, bolts, nuts, cotter pins, havi

Where the use of a critical material is essential to meet specifications requirements, the material used shall be the least critical of those which are adequate for the purpose. 3.3.2 Metals - Metals shall be of the corrosi
18、on resistant type or suitably treated to resist corrosion caused by fuels, salt spray, lubricants, or atmospheric conditions likely to be met in storage or normal service. 3.3.2.1 lytic corrosion, dissimilar metals shall not be used in intimate contact with each other.
