SCOPE 1.1 Scope - The equ-$ment covered by this specificat

2、ion shall enable “e pilot f.o select the quantity of stores to be dropped, mode of release, and drop interval be- tween release of individual stores. i. 2 Classification - Aircraft weapons release set control C-8014(*)/AWE-l shall consist of the item listed in 6.9. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS 2.1 Genera

3、l - The documents listed in 6.11 of the issue in effect on the date of invitation for bids form a part of this specification to the extent specified herein. 3. REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Preproduction - This specification makes provision for preproduction testing. 3.2 Parts and Materials - in the selection of

4、 parts and materials, fulfillment of major design objectives shall be the prime consideration. In so doing the following shall govern: (1) Microelectronic items shall conform to requirements specified herein. (2) Other parts and materials requirements shall conform to Specifica- tion MXL-E-5400. (3)

5、 Nonrepairable subassemblies, as outlined in Specification MIL-E- 5400, shall be used when practicable. The general size of the sub- assembly and the amount of circuitry to be included therein shall be approved by the procuring activity. Nonrepairable subassemblies must be reliable (see 6.4). 1 ESC

7、ssemblies without the approval, of the pro- curing activity. 3.2.1 Nonstandard Parts and Materials Approval - Approval for the use of nonstandard parta and materials (including transistors and diodes) shall be obtained as outlined in Specification MIL-E-5400. 3.3 Design and Construction - The equipm

8、ent shall conform with all the applicable requirements of Specification MIL-E-5400 for design, construction and workman- ship, except as otherwise specified herein. 3.3.1 Total Weight - The total weight of the equipment, excluding cables, shall be a minimum consistent with good design and shall not

9、exceed 22 ounces. 3.3.2 Reliability - 3.3.2.1 . Operational Stability - The equipment shall operate with satisfactory performance, continuously or intermittently for a period of at least 10,000 hours without the neceeeity for readjustment uf any controls which are inaccessible to the operator during

10、 normal me. 3.3.2.2 Operating Life - The equipment shall have total operating life of 10,000 bure with reaaonable eervicing and replacement of parts. Parts requiring scheduled re- glacement.shal1 be specified by the contractor. 3.3.2.3 Reliability in Mean Time Between Failure MTBF) - The equipment s

11、hall have outlined under the requirements of 4.4.3. hours of mean (operating) time between failures when tested and accepted as 3.3.3 Cabling and Connections - 3.3.3.1 Cables and Connectors - The equipment shall provide fa the use of cables and connectors in accordance with Specification MIL-E-5400.

12、 3.3.4 Control Panels - All rack or console mounted control panels shall con- form to the applicable requirements of Specification MIL-C-6781. The configuration of all control panels must be approved by the procuring activity prior to preproduction testing. 3.3.6 Interchangeability of Reordered Equi

13、pment - For reordered equipment interchangeability shall exist between units and all replaceable assemblies, subassemblies, and parte of a designated model of any previously manufactured equipment, supplied or deeignated by the procuring activity. 3.3.6 interference Control - The generation of radio

15、81770 (AS) 3.3.7 Maintenance Provisioae and Field Testing - Provisions for maintenance shall be as specified in Specification MIL-E-5400. Specific teat points and test facilities shall be provided to the greatest extent practicable for ease of field testing and maintenance. 3.3.8 Nomenclature and Na

16、meplates - Nomenclature assignment and nameplate approval for equipment identification shall be in accordance with Specification MIL-N-18307. 3.3.9 normal performance characteris tics under standard conditions and for making laboratory bench tests. Standard Conditions - The following conditions shal

17、l be used to establish Temperature Room ambient (25 L5OC) Altitude Normal ground Vibration None Humidity Room ambient up to 90% relative humidity input power voltage 115tl. O vac and/or 27.5 LO. 5 vdc 3.3.10 Service Conditions - The equipment shall operate satisfactorily under any of the environment

18、al service conditions or reasonable combination of these conditions as specified in Specification MIL-E-5400 for class II equipment, except as modified herein. 3.3.10.1 Vibration - The equipment shall operate satisfactorily when subjected to the vibration requirements of curve I of Specification MIL

19、-E-5400. 3.3.10.2 Altitude - The equipment shall operate satisfactorily when subjected to the altitude requirements of Specification MIL-E-5400 with the exception that the operational altitude be limited to 50,000 feet. 3.3.11 3.3.12 Warm-up Time - The equipment shall require no warm-up time, Primar

20、y In 2.2 step - In any step type of release, stores release will occur at a rate determined by a pilot. This rate will be one release pulse generated for each pilot depres- sion of the weapon release button. 3.4.3 Modes - The modes of release are as follows: 3.4.3.1 Singles - One store will be relea

21、sed for each output pulse. 3.4.3.2 Pairs - Two stores will be released for each output pulse. 3.4.3.3 Salvo - The number of stores released for each output pulse will be equa to the number of loaded stores stations selected. 3.4.4 Rate of Release - The interval between successive release output puls

22、es in any ripple mode shall be pilot controlled and continuously variable between 20 and 2000 milliseconds, The output pulse interval shall be within 25 percent of the control setting for standard conditions and L- 10 percent for extreme conditions, 3.4.4.1 Pulse Width - The duty cycle of the output

24、pe of release, the puise width shall be determined by the pilot. The leading edge of the release pulse shall occur when the pilot manually starts a step drop. The trail- ing edge of the pulse shall occur when the pilot manually ends the drop. 3.4.5 Quantity Select - The number of release output puls

25、es generated by the system shall be pilot controlled. The pilot, when desiring a drop of any amount of stores, shall be able to select the exact amount of from 2 to 40 output pulses to be generated in amounts limited to the following steps: (1) 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6 (steps of one) (2) 8, 12, 16, 20 (step

26、s of foui) (3) 30, 40 (steps of ten) 3.5 Detailed Requirements - 3.5.1 Control, Aircraft Weapons Release Set C-8014(*)/AWE-1 - The control shall meet the following requirements: 3.5.1.1 Function - The control is the unit of the system which selects the operat- ing modee of the system. The control sh

27、ali determine the following: (1) The quantity of stores to be released, as tabulated in 3.4.5. (2) The drop interval which shall range from 20 to 2000 milliseconds. (3) The mode and type of release as tabulated in 3.4.2. Form Factor - The control shall conform to the dimensions and require- 3.5.1.2

28、ments shown in Figure 2. It shall be mounted in the cockpit. 3.6.1.3 Weight - The weight of the control shall not exceed 1.25 pounds. 3.5.1.4 Contents - The control shall contain the electronics to provide an external intra-system 28 volt pulse train whose frequency shall be controlled by the drop i

29、nterval select knob of 3.5.1.5, The width of this pulse shall be as specified in 3.4.4.1. 3.5.1.5 Controls - All controls and select switches are located and identified a8 Reference Designation Func ton QTY - SEL DROP INTVL MULT SW MODE SELECT in Figure 2. 31、5. l. 6 Electrical Connections - Connections to external circuits shali be pro- vided as indicated in figure 2. 3.6 Design Data - No data is required by this specification (other than re- ports accompanying samples submitted for testing) or by applicable documents, unless specified in the contract o

32、r order (see 6.7). 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for Inspection - Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection re- quirements as specified herein. Except as otherwise specified, the supplier may u

33、se his own facilities or any commercial laboratory acceptable to the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure that supplies and services conform to pre- scribed requirements. 4

34、.1.1 Classification of Tests - Items covered by this specification shall be subjected to the following testa to determine compliance with all applicable requirements: (1) Preproduction tests (2) initial production tests (3) Acceptance tests (4) Life tests 4.2 Preproduction Testa - Preproduction test

35、s shall be made on an equipment representative of the production equipments to be supplied under the contract. Preproduction tests shall be accomplished under the responsibility of the contractor and shall be conducted in accordance with the approval test procedure of 4.6. The Government inspector a

36、nd the procuring activity shall be advised when tests are to be conducted so that a representative may be designated to witness or supervise the tests when so desired. Contractors not having adequate facilities to conduct all required tests shall obtain the services of a commercial testing iaborator

37、y acceptable to the Government. 4.2.1 Preproduction Test Data - The contractor shall submit all data collected in conducting these tests to the procuring agency for reviews and approval. On first pro- duction contracts, this data shall include a list of all electrical and electronic parts giving the

38、ir specified voltage, current and temperature rating and the applied circuit voltage, current and ambient and surface temperatures. The ambient and surface temperature shall be obtained under the extreme high temperature operating conditions. 4.2.2 Scope of Testa - Preproduction tests shall include

39、all tests deemed nec- essary by the procuring activity to determine that the equipment meets all the requirements of thla specification and the contract. Preproduction tests shall include environmental tests in accoydance with the procedure6 of Specification MIL-T-5422 and. interference tests in mot

40、ordance with Specification MIL-1-6181. 8 Provided by IHSNot for ResaleNo reproduction or networking permitted without license from IHS-,-,-4.2.3 Preproduction Awroval - Approval of the preproduction sample shall be by the procuring activity upon satisfactory completion of all tests. No production eq

41、uip- ments shall be delivered prior to the approval of the preproduction sample, Prefabrication of production equipment prior to the approval of the preproduction sample is at the con- tractors own risk. The approved preproduction sample shall be retained by the contractor for his use in the fabrica

42、tion and testing of equipment to be submitted for acceptance. The preproduction sample shall not be considered as one of the equipments under the contract. 4.2.4 Production Equbmenta - Equipment8 supplied under the contract shall in all respects, including design, construction, workmanship, performa

43、nce and quality, be equivalent to the approved preproduction sample. Each equipment shall be capable of successfully passing the same testa as imposed on the preproduction sample. Evidence of noncompliance with the above shall constitute cause for rejection and for equipment already accepted by the

44、Government, it shall be the obligation of the contractor to make necessary corrections as approved by the procuring activity. 4.3 shall be selected and sent at the contractors expense to a designated Government laboratory for tests, This equipment shall be selected by the procuring activity after th

45、e equipment ha8 successfully passed all individual testa. The preproduction sample shall not be selected for this test. initial Production Tests - One of the first ten production equipments 4.3.1 Scope of Tests - This equipment may be subjected to any and all tests the procuring activity deems neces

46、sary to assure that the production equipment is equivalent to the previously approved preproduction sample in design, construction, workmanship, performance and quality and that it meeta all applicable requirements. 4.3.2 Accessory Material - in addition to the complete equipment submitted for initi

47、al production tests, the contractor shall also submit such accessory material and data necessary to test the equipment. 4.3.3 initial Production Sample Approval - Approval of the initial production sample shall be by the procuring activity upon satisfactory completion of all tests. Any design, mater

48、ial or performance defect made evident during this test shall be corrected by the contractor to the satisfaction of the procuring activity. Failure of the initial production sample to pass any of the tests shall be cause for deliveries of equipment under the contract to cease until proper corrective

49、 action is approved and accomplished, Corrective action shall also be accomplished on equipment previously accepted when requested by the pro- curing activity. 4.3.4 Reconditioning of Initial Production Tests Sample - On completion of the initial production test, the equipment shall be reworked by the contractor by replacing all wear or damaged items. After reworking, the contractor shall resubmit the equipment for acceptance. 4.4 Acceptance Tests - The contractor ahall furnish
