7、erties.-Mechanical properties required by the dratring shall be uniform throughout the part within specified tolerances. 3.6 Shear Pin Strength.-The shear pin after application of protective finish shall shear when a load of 41 +_ 5 pounds is applied at the steady rate of 0.125 inch per minute. . 3.
8、7 Protective finish.-Protective finish shall be in accordance with the applicable specifications and drawings and shall apply to all surfaces of the component regardless of contour. 3.8 riemetic seal.-The assembled initiator y less the firins mechanism shall withstand 14 PSI , internal external pres

10、splits, cold shuts, inclusions, porosity or other retal defects. 3.9.2 =.-The part shall not have a burr which nizttt be injurious to personnel handling the item. 3.9.3 -reign matte?.-The part or assembly shall not contain cliips, dirt, grease, oil, rust, corrosion or other foreign matter. 4. 25、Inspection ment.-The exanination and tests sliall be made using equipment listed on IEL 11731740. 4.4 =st methods and procecf_u_res_L 4.4.1 Shear pin strength.-after application of protective finish, the pin shall be subjected to the shear strength test to detemine cosipliance with 3.6. testing mach

The test shall be performed in the fixture in conjunction with a tensile 4.4.2 Protective finish.-Test procedures for protective finish shall be in accordance with the specification referenced on tlie component drawing. 4.4.3 Breakaway torque-. -A torque wrench cet at the torque requireineiit s
27、pecified in 3.2 shall be used in conjunction with the fixture to determine the adequacy of the joint. The torques shall be applied (1) between the female body and male body and (2) betveen the iwle or feniale body and the body and (3) between the body aiid the housitic. 4.4.4 Residual ma$netisri_.-T
28、he initiator shall be tested for excessive residual magnetism using an approved coinpass in an area free of local magnetic effects, by placing the initiator 6 inches from and at the same height as the compass in a north-south horizontal position (housing end at south) with the coinpass set in an eas
