This specification covers the requirements for the design and procurement of Oscillographs, NAVORD Drawings 815515, 313 ready nonoperatin;. The oscillograph, when rigidly mounted on its mounting base to a vibration device by nor

3、m1 means shall withstand the. vibration requirements specified in 4.4.1.1 and theresfter shall show no damage and shall meet all performance requirements of this specif ication. 3.5J.2 Vibration; operati%. The oscillograph, packaged as in S

5、ection 5, shall withstand the rough handling test of MIL-P- and thereafter shall show no damage and shall meet all performance requirements and product characteristics of this specificat5on. 3.5.2.2 Shock; ready nonoperating. The oscillograph, when rigidly mounted on its nountins; base to a shock te

6、sting device by normal means, shall withstand the shock requirements of 4.4.2.2 and thereafter shall show no damage and shall meet all performance requirements of this spec- ification without readjustment or repositioning of components, 3.5.3 Temperature and humidity; nonoperating 3.5.3.1 Low temper

7、ature. The oscillograph shall be capable of with- standing a temperature of minus 65 degrees F for a period of 48 hours without showing any adverse effects. The unit shall then be brought to ambient. temperature and humidiky conditions and shall meet all the per- formnee requirements and product Cha

8、racteristics of this specification. 3.5.3.2 High temperature. The oscillograph shall be capable of with- stal-ding a temperature of plus i65 degrees F with a relative humidity of ?c! to 95 percent for a period of 48 hours. to ambient temperatu= and humidity condit5ons and shall meet all the performa

9、nce requirements and product characteristics of this specification. The unit shall then be brought 3.5.4 Temperature; operating 3.5.4.1 Low temperature. The oscillograph shall be conditioned to a temperature of O degrees F and, while at this temperature, shall function according to specifications wi

10、khout showing any adverse effects. 3.5.h.2 High t.emperature. The oscillograph shall be conditioned to a tmperat-ure OF plus i30 degrees F with a relative humidity of 90 to 95 perem%. to spxifications without showing any adverse effects. While at these test conditions the unit shall function accordi

11、ng 3.5.5 Acceleration. The oscil2ograph, when rigidly mounted on an ac- celeration device, shall withstand an acceleration of i5 plus or minus 2 gs for a period of not less than 0.2 second nor more than i5 seconds in each direction along the three axes defined in 3.3.6, shall function during and aft

The oscillograph s

13、hall be capable of withstanding at least 5QO operation cycles without maintenance, except for lamp re- placement. A cycle is defined as an operating period of 10 minutes plus or minus 1 minute, followed by a rest period of 10 minutes plus or minus 1 minute. 3.6.1 The film magazine shall be capable o

14、f being loaded and unloaded 500 successive times and shall show no damage and shall meet all the per- formance requirements and product characteristics of this specification. 3.7 Cleanug. Prior to and after final assembly, all parts, components, and the assembly shall be thoroughly cleaned of loose,

15、 spattered, or ex- cess solder, metal chips, and other foreign matter. Burrs and sharp edges as well as rosin flash shall be removed. 3.8 WorlananshiE. The equipment including all parts and accessories , shall be constructed and finished in a manner to ensrire compliance with all requirements of thi

16、s specification. Particular attention shall be paid to neatness and thoroughness of soldering, wiring, marking of parts and assemblies, plating, riveting, machine screw assenblies, welding, brazing, and freedom of parts from burrs and sharp edges. The standards of workmnship exhibited in any approve

17、d first article sample, subject to any qualification stated in the Governments notice of approval, shall be determinative of the requirements of the contract relative to workmanship insofar as not specifically covered by applicable specifications. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PFOVISIONS 4 1 Responsibility f

18、or inspection. Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order, the supplier is responsible for the per- f ormance of all inspection requirements as specif i therefore, there shall be no sampling for acceptance. Defective units shall be rejected. 4.4 First article and periodic productio

19、n inspection. The first article and periodic production samples, after satisfactorily passing the quality conformance inspections detailed in 4.5, shall be subjected to the fol- lowing tests and examinations. results of first article and periodic production inspections shall be forwarded to the Nava

20、lrdnance Systems Command, Certified inspection data covering the 4.4.1 Vibration. The oscillograph, mounted as specified in 3.5.1, shall be subjected to the vibration testing specified herein. 4.4.1.1 Vibration; ready nonoperating. The oscillograph shall be sub- jected to the v5bration testing speci

21、fied in Schedule I in each of the test axes defined in 3.3.6, and thereafter shall show no damage and shall meet all perforniance requirements and product characteristics of this specification. The frequency shallbe continuously varied, between each of the limits given, at a uniform rate over a three to four minute period for the duration of the test. As an alter

23、nate method the oscillograph shall be vibrated at specific frequencies differing by not more than five cps in each of the test axes and covering the entire frequency range and amplitudes of Schedule I. The total test time shall be not less than that of Schedule I and the test times at the specific f

24、requencies shall be equally divided. The oscillograph, rigidly mounted on its mounting base to a vibration device, shall be

25、subjected sequentially to the vibration testing of Schedule I in each of the test axes defined in 3.3.6. range in each axis. The film speed recorded during these tests shall be in accordance with 3.4.4. ments of 4.5.4.6 and 4.5.4.7 upon completion of the test. A film shall be run for the last four m

29、4.4.2.2 Shock; ready, nonoperating. The oscillograph (pype II) mounted as specified in 3.5.2.2, shall be sub.iected to 18 pulses of not less than 8 ms duration and approximating a $-sine wave. shall be applied in each direction along the axis defined in 3.3.6 and shall be of the following mgnitude:

31、ithout readjustment or repositioning of components. 4.4 . 3 Temperature and humidity; nonoperating 4.4.3.1 Low temperature. The oscillograph shall be placed within a test chamber whose temperature shall be lowered to a minus 60 degrees to minus 65 degrees F and maintained at this temperature for a p

32、eriod of 48 plus or minus 5 hours. not be energized during this period,) At the end of this period the os- cillograph shall be brought to ambient temperature and humidity conditions and then shall meet all performance requirements and product characteris- tics of thts swcification, 4.4.3.2 High temp

The oscillograph shall be placed within a test chamber whose temperature shall be raised to plus i60 to plus 165 degrees F with a relative humidity of 90 to 95 percent and maintatned at this temperature and humidity for a period of 48 hours plus or minus 5 hours. (The oscillograph motor and

34、 lamp circuits shall not be energized during this period.) At the end of this period the oscillograph shall be brought to ambient temperature and humidity Conditions and then shall meet all performance requirements and product characteristics of this specification. Prior to testing the performance r

35、equirements, wiping or air drying may be performed. (The oscillograph motor and lamp circuits shall Drying by heating or baking is not allowed. 4.4.4 Temperature; operating 4.4.4.1 Low temperature. The oscillograph shall be placed within a test chamber whose temperature shall be lowered to O degrees

While maintained at this temperature the oscillograph shall be operated and shall meet all the performance requirements and product characteristics of this specification. 4.4.4.2 High temperature.
