SCOPE 1.1 Th

2、is specification covers the manufacture,- inspection and testing of two types of electrically-operated release mechanisms for use with a bomb shackle and bomb racks of the type specified by the procuring activity. Bomb Rack Release shall be of two types and shall consist of the following items: 1.2

REQUIREMENTS 3.1 Parts and materials used in the manufacture of the Release shall conform to the ap- plicable s

10、pecifications as specified herein or as listed on the applicable drawings. Material con- forming to contractors specifications may be used provided the specifications are approved by the procuring activity, are equivalent to the Government specifications and contain requirements for adequate tests o

11、f the material. The use of contractors specifications shall not constitute a waiver of Government inspection. All materials shaii be of the lightest practical weight and en- tirely suitable for the intended purpose. When materials are used which are procured under com- merciaily recognized non-Gover

12、nment specifications, a certificate, acceptable to the Government Inspector, showing compliance with such specifications, shail be furnished by the supplier of such material. 3.1.1 Selection of Materials - Specifications and standards of ail materiais and parts, and Government certification and appr

13、oval of processes and equipment, which are not specificaily designated herein and which are necessary for the execution of this specification, shail be selected in accordance with ANA Bulletin No. 143. 14、MIL-R-22bL LO = 777770b 03025i.1 O -, MIL-R-22618(WEP) 3.1.2 Weight Reduction - The contractor shall make every effort to reduce the equip- ments over-all weight without impairing the function, operation or durability. All changes that are required to accomplish weight reduction shall be subject to

15、written approval by the procuring activity prior to incorporation. 3.2 Design and Construction - 3.2.1 Conformance to Drawings - No departure from or revision to the drawings speci- fied in 2.1 shall be permitted without prior written approval by the procuring activity, with the contractor furnishin

16、g reproducible drawings covering the change. Conformance to the drawings will not relieve the contractor of the requirements of section 4. 3.2.2 input Power Requirements - This equipment shall perform satisfactorily under all applicable conditions specified in Specification MIL-T-7743, from a 28-vol

17、t power source with characteristics and limits as defined in Specification MILSTD-704. 3.2.3 Interchangeability - All parts having the same manufacturers part number shall be directly and completely interchangeable with each other with respect to installation and per- formance. Changes in manufactur

18、ers part numbers shall be governed by the drawing number re- quirements of Specification MIL-D- 70327. 3.2.4 Nomenclature and Nameplates - Nomenclature assignment and nameplate approval for equipment identification shall be in accordance with Specification MIL-N-18307. 3.2.5 Undervoltage Protection

19、- The equipment shall not be damaged by voltages below the minimum specified herein and shail automatically resume normal operation when the volta.ge returns within limits. 3.2.6 Service Conditions - The Releases shall operate without failure throughout the en- tire environmental ranges listed below

22、lish the require- ments for satisfactory performance apply to performance under both standard and extreme service conditions. The Release and its appropriate mount shail be capable of operating, without periodic lubrication, a bomb shackle of the Mark 8 or Aero 16B type safely and successfully when

QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 General - Equipments shall be sub

24、jected to the following tests to determine compli- (1) Preproduction Tests - (4.2). (2) Acceptance Tests - (4.3). Test Samples - The equipments used for preproduction and sampling tests shall not be considered as equipments under the contract. They are to be supplied as equipments over and above the

25、 quantity specified for delivery in the contract. 4.1.2 lowing conditions: (1) Room Temperature - Room ambient of 75“ i1O“F (2) Test Temperature - All parts of the Release shall be completely stabilized at ance with all the applicable requirements: 4.1.1 Test Conditions - Unless otherwise specified

26、all tests shall be performed at the fol- the specified temperature f 5F prior to conducting any tests. 4.2 Preproduction Tests - Preproduction tests shall be accomplished at a Government selected laboratory under the responsibility of the procuring agency. Five samples shall,be se- lected for prepro

27、duction tests. These samples shall be the first five equipments produced using production tools. Prior to selecting these five samples for preproduction test each shall success- fully pass the tests specified for individual tests. These tests shall be conducted by the contractor and results of these

28、 tests shall accompany the five samples sent to the Government selected labora- tory for preproduction tests. Preproduction tests shall consist of all the tests specified in 4.4 and conducted in the sequence of Figure 2. Any defects or failures occurring during these tests shall be cause for tentati

29、ve rejection of the preproduction samples. All rejected samples will be re- turned to the contractor for rework or correction of defects when considered practical and feasible by the procuring activity, otherwise the contractor will be required to submit additional samples for retest in lieu of the

30、reworked samples. 4.2.1 Preproduction Approval - Approval of the preproduction samples shall be by the pro- curing activity upon satisfactory completion of all tests. No production equipments or lot samples shall be delivered prior to approval of the preproduction samples. Prefabrication of producti

31、on equipment prior to the approval of the preproduction models is at the contractors own risk. The approved preproduction samples will be returned to the contractor for his use h the fabrication and testing of equipment to be submitted for acceptance. be composed of equipment which has successfully

The contractor shall maintain test reports showing the quantitative

36、 (4.4.11) 4.3.2 Sampling Tests - Sampling tests shaii be conducted at a goqernment laboratory Wer the responsibility of the procuring agency. Sampling tests shall be conducted on samples selected from lob of equipment which have successfully passed the individual tests. Samples to be tested shaii be

40、ration, Destructive (4.4.4.2) (12) Corrosion Resistant (4.4.16) (13) Shock (4.4.17) (14) Acceleration (4.4.18) 4.3.3 Approval of Production Lots - Approval of production lots shall be by the procuring activity upon satisfactory completion of all sampling tests. Should a failure occur during this tes

41、t- ing, it shall be cause for rejection of that particular lot. 4.4 Test Methods - 4.4.1 Inspection of Product - Each equipment shall be examined carefully to determine that the material, and workmanship (fabrication, assembly and cleanup) requirements have been met. 4.4.2 Reliability - The Bomb Sha

42、ckle Release or Bomb Rack Release, rigidly mounted as Coil Resistance - The total resistance of the coil and transfer switch circuit - in actual use shall be operated through 50 cycles only, as specified in 4.4.14. 4.4.3 without applied power- with the Release cocked, and measured from the connector

43、 terminals - shall not be less than 7.7 ohms nor more than 9. O ohms. 4.4.4 Vibration Test - The Release shall be wired as shown in Figure 1, and with a cur- rent of O. 25 ampere passing through its magnetic unit, it shall be vibrated on an axis at right angles to the switch housing and to the plung

44、er travel. Vibrations shall approximate a simple harmonic mo- tion. The amplitude (total) should be O. 06 inch at the source of disturbance. The frequency shall be varied from 8 to 50 cycles per second in suitable steps over a period of approximately 30 seconds. The frequency shall be held at 50 cyc

45、les for 30 seconds after which time, and while in vibration, the Release shall be fired in the sequence shown in Figure 1. After firing, the frequency shall be re- duced to the starting frequency. Inadvertent firing, failure to fire, any flickering of lamps or fail- ure of lamps to follow the sequen

46、ce of Figure 1 shall be cause for rejection of the unit. 4.4.4.1 Natural (Resonant) Frequency Vibration - The Release shall be wired as shown in Figure 1, and with a current of O. 25 ampere passing continuously through its magnetic unit, it shall be vibrated on each of its three principle axes, in t

47、urn, to determine the occurrence of the natural frequency of any of its component parts. Vibration shall follow approximately a simple harmonic motion. The frequency shall be varied from 8 to 2000 cycles per second at a constant octave sweep rate of one octave per minute starting at 8 cycles per sec

48、ond. The amplitude shall be O. 06 inch double amplitude or f 1Og neither of which shall be exceeded at the source of disturbance. With the Release mounted in each attitude, in turn, and at each test frequency, the unit shall be tested as follows: (1) With the plunger in the cocked position, the unit

49、 shall be vibrated until it is de- termined whether or not a natural frequency of any of it if no critical conditions are found the test shall be performed at 50 cps. If tests are run at frequencies other than 50 cps, the test duration shall be adjusted to pro- duce the same number of cycles as the 50 cps test would produce, Operation of the Release as the result of vibration, the flickering of any lamp in the test circuit, any electrical or mechanical fail- u
