6、1 Thermo-detectors, - Tht; thermo-detectors shall be temperature sensitive resistors, responsive over a temperature range of 400“ to 1500“Fa 3.3, I. 1.1 Construction, - The thermo-detectors shall. contain a resistor winding mounted in the end f 8 protective tubing, This tubing shall also serve as th
7、e grounded electrical lead or the resistor winding, The other lead shall be a platinum-iridium wire installed internally in the psotective tubing and insulaked therefrom with high temperature cement specCied in 3.1.1. The overall length of the assembled thermo-detectom shall be approximately 6 inche
8、 for installation in the turbine blading and connection to the coup33ng.hub. (See 3.3. 1.2) . 3.3.1.1.2 Sensitive element, - The sensitive element shall be a Lrni.4 rhodium wire, The cold resistance (at ambient temperature) shall be approximately 5.5 ohms ranging to approxmat,ely 20 ohms at 1500F. T
9、he rhoium wire shall be wound around the end of the internal lead wire. The lead wire shall first.be insulated by coating with high temperature cement (see 3.1.1. (d) prior to installation of the rhodium wire. The winding shall oceuppy approximately 1/4 inch space on the end of the lead wire. After
10、winding, a connection tab shall be welded to one end of th lead wire. The winding shall. then be covered with insulatiri9 cement (except the tab). A simllar tab shall be cut in the wall of the protective tubing and the resistor assembly inserted. The two tabs shall bc welded shut to seal the assembl
11、y and csmp?.ete electrical connections, 3,3,1,1,3 Protective tubin . - The protective tubing for the thermo- detectors shall be + incone or other high temperature material of equal grade (see 3,1,1, (a) of 0,040 inch outside diameter. 12、 0129060 T m - MIL-T- 15844(SHIpS) 3.3. 1. 1. 4 Thermal .shock. - The assembled thermo-detectors shaU be capable of withstanding thermal shock of repeated heating and cooling from ambient tempeeatures to 1500F., without mechanical or electrical failure of any sort. 3.3.1.1.5 Acceleration. - The ther
13、rzo-detectors shall also be capable of resisting accelerations encountered at speeds up to 25,000 rpm, concurrent with high temperatures of turbine operation, 3.3.1.2 Coupling, hub assembly, - The four assembled.thermo-detectors shall be held in place on the turbo-superch;irgerwheel by means of a co
14、upling hub, 3.3.1.2.1 Construction. - The hub shall be a metallic disc with the outer face turned down to a flat conical surface, The conical angle of this face exWu!iedshall align with the holes bored in the turbine disc for retention of the rmo-de tec tor s. 3,3. I. 2.2 Thermo-detector mounting, -
15、 Four clamps shall be installed on the conical surface of the hub. The clamps shall be contoured to fit the thermo-detectors snugly without crushing. These clamps shall be capable of holding the thermo-resistors against stress of rotation. (See 3.3.11.5) 3.3.1.2.3 Thermo-detector junction. - The the
16、rmo-detector leads shall extend through thc clamps to four electrical junctions. These junctions shall connect the intsrnal lead wires of the thermo-resistors to high temperature flexible lead wires. The lead wires shall run through the center of the hub and shall extend through the drilled center o

The receiver coil shall be mounted on the bearing yoke on the side opposite
29、 from the transmitter coil. The leads shall be terminated in connector conforming to Specification MIL-(2-50 15, shall revolve within a ring containing five synchronizing coils.
