SCOPE 1.1

6、tracting Off i Cer. ) 3. REQUIREMENTS - to MIL-T-23991 3.1.1 of the lightest practicable weight, be suitable for the purpose intended, and shall conform to the following. All materials not specified above shall be of the best quality, 3.1.1.2 - Wood.- All wood shall be properly kiln dried and stabil

7、ized for the use intended, and made thoroughly moisture resistant by appropriate treatment and finish. 3.1.1.3 - Glue.- Only plastic resin glue not adversely affected by moisture or lacquer shall be used. I shock resistance, transparency and abrasion resistance to endure without vi si bl e imperfect

8、ion or deteri orati on surface shall be developed on one contact surface. Cementing solvents shall be used as recommended by the manufacturer for the particular plastic. Fo

10、r purposes of demonstration, the training aid shall be sectional i zed, en1 arged and col or coded. Mechani cal movements shall be identical with the actual equipment. 3.2.1 Fuel oil .- The fuel oil shall be represented by a non-flammable red-dyed liquid with a viscosity of 600 to 900 on the Saybolt

11、 scale. The fluid shall not adversely affect any of the materials or componens of the training aid and shall not be conducive to formation of algae when stored for prolonged periods within the training aid. 3.2.2 D e material.- Sufficient dye material for one gallon of fluid shall be provi -5Er-F e

12、wit each training aid. This dye material shall be in dry granular or powder form and of a bright shade of red in color. be sealed in a reusable moisture-proof container and packed with the training aid. It shall 3.3 Reliability.- The training aid shall withstand classroom use of 12 hours per week fo

13、r 5 years, and not be adversely affected in any manner during storage and transportation when under ambient conditions of tempera- ture ranging from -5 to 125 degrees Fahrenheit and of relative humidity ranging up to 95 percent. The training aid shall be assembled in such a manner that no fixed part

14、, assembly or control shall become undesirably free or sluggish in operation, and no degradation shall be caused in the mechanical performance stipulated for the training aid because of shipment,. operati on or storage. with the process requirements of MIL-T-23991 and in accordance with the drawings

18、ting panel for the training aid (b) Sectionalized model of diesel fuel oil injector (c) Dye material (d) Dust cover. A bag-type cover, made from 16 ounce, gray vinyl-covered 3.6.1 nylon, shall be provided to cover the training aid, exclusive of the stand, when not in use. 3.7 Finish.- All surfaces t

QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for inspection.- Unless otherwise specified in the contract or purchase order

25、, the supplier is responsible for the performance of ai 1 inspecti on requi rements as speci fi ed herein . as otherwise specified in the contract or order, the supplier may use his own or any other facilities suitable for the performance of the inspection requirements specified herein, unless disap

26、proved by the Government. The Government reserves the right to perform any of the inspections set forth in the specification where such inspections are deemed necessary to assure suppl ies and servi ces conform to prescribed requirements. 4.2 Inspection.- The inspection shall include such visual and

27、 mechanical examinations and testing of materials, subassemblies, parts and accessories (including purchased standard i tems) during the manu- facturing process as may be required to assure conformance to all the requirements specified herein. The following inspections, consisting of the examination

28、 and tests specified herein, shall be performed to determine compliance with the requirements of this specification: Except (a) Preproduction inspection (b) production inspection. 4.2.1 Preproduction inspection. - Preproduction inspection shall be conducted on the preproduction sample and shall cons

29、ist of all the examinations and tests of 4.3. 4.2.2 Praduction inspection.- Production inspection shall be performed on production units to the extent necessary to maintain quality control following acceptance of the preproduction sample. The approved preproduction sample shall be used as a represen

30、tative sample in the fabrication and testing of the production units to be submitted for acceptance. 4.3 Inspection procedures .- The inspection procedures shall include 4.3.1 Examinations.- The training aid shall be examined for compliance the following examinations and tests: with the following re

32、orkmanship (9) Preservation, packaging, packing and marking. 4.3.2 Tests.- The following tests shall be conducted in order to determine whether or not the training aid conforms to the requirements of 3.3. (a) Operating test (b) Static test. 4.3.2.1 Operating test.- Each training aid shall be subject

33、ed to an operating test for a full hour under full fluid load to insure proper functioning of the metering system, the pumps and the fluid circulatovy system. A leak at any time during this test will cause rejection of the training aid. 4.3.2.2 Static test.- Each training aid shall be subjected to a

34、 static test in which a full load of fluid shall be introduced into the training aid and allowed to stand for a minimum of 6 hours. A leak at any time during this test will cause rejection of the training aid. 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Preservation and packaging.- preservation and packaging sh

Shipping containers shall comply with common carrier rules and regulations as applicable to the mode of transportation and as may be the suppliers comercial practice when such meets the r

38、equirements of this 1 eve1 . 5.3 Physical protection.- All material shall be packaged and packed in containers constructed to provide a compact and nonshifting load. Adequate cushioning, blocking and bracing shall be provided within shipping containers in a manner designed to prevent damage due to s

39、hock, vibration or impact during shipment, handling and storage. . 5.4 Markin .- Interior packages and exterior shipping containers shall be I? mar ed in accordance with MIL-STD-129. 6. NOTES 6.1 Intended use.- The training aid will be used for the purpose of fami 1 i ari zi ng mi 1 i tary and other
