2、rotection Association has issued the following Tentative Interim Amendment to NFPA 80, Standard for Fire Doors and Other Opening Protectives, 2016 edition. The TIA was processed by the Technical Committee on Fire Doors and Windows and was issued by the Standards Council on December 8, 2015, with an
3、effective date of December 28, 2015. A Tentative Interim Amendment is tentative because it has not been processed through the entire standards-making procedures. It is interim because it is effective only between editions of the standard. A TIA automatically becomes a public input of the proponent f
4、or the next edition of the standard; as such, it then is subject to all of the procedures of the standards-making process. 1. Revise section 19.4.4 to read as follows: 19.4.4 If the damper is equipped with a variable air volume system, acceptance testing shall be conducted after the building mechani
5、cal ventilation system has been balanced and in operation under maximum air flow. 2. Revise section 19.4.6 to read as follows: 19.4.6 A record of these inspections and testing shall be made in accordance with 19.5.3. 3.
