10、Aerospace Information Report (AIR) covers information relative to ULDs (Unit Load Devices) container and pallet configurations, maximum usable container, pallet and bulk compartment volumes and tare weights for the lower deck of various wide-body aircraft. Bulk compartment volumes are also included
11、for standard-body aircraft. 1.1 Purpose This document brings together data concerning the lower deck capacity of wide-body and standard- body airplanes. The information includes airplanes manufactured by Airbus, Boeing, British Aerospace, British Aircraft, Fokker-VFW, Hawker Siddeley, Ilyushin, Lock
12、heed and McDonnell- Douglas. 2. APPLICABLE DOCUMENTS The following publications form a part of this document to the extent specified herein. The latest issue of SAE publications shall apply. The applicable issue of other publications shall be the issue in effect on the date of the purchase order. In

NOTES AND DEFINITIONS Container and pallet configurations are shown as arrangements 1, 2, 3, et
15、c. Additional arrangements may be constructed by combining various compartment configurations. Combinations of differing ULDs within a compartment are also possible within the constraints of each particular aircraft. Arrangements for wide-body containers such as the Air Transport Association (ATA) t
16、ype LD-5, LD-6, LD-10, and LD-11 and the equivalent base size (60.4 in x 125 in) pallet are not included in this document. They occupy an equivalent space of two LD-1 or LD-3 containers in the wide-body configuration. In addition, arrangements for ATA type LD-4 and LD-8 containers are not included a
17、s they occupy an equivalent space of two LD-2 containers. Netted pallet arrangements only are shown. ATA type LD-7 and LD-9 containers are not included as they have the equivalent base size of 88 in x 125 in pallet. For data on the above ULDs, see Appendix A. Container volume used in each configurat
18、ion reflects the maximum internal volume available for that particular unit. Volumes shown are in accordance with AS1825. Weight limitations, as noted, consist of payload weight and tare weight. Some weights and measures in this document are listed in a minimum-to-maximum range. A midpoint figure ma

Please note ULD tare weight figures presented in this document are for reference only and not reflecting the latest developement which may be significantly lower. In addition balsa core pallet indications are no mo

A structural container is defined as a rigid shell made of composite, metal, or other suitable materials that in combination with an airplane pallet has been stressed to restrain cargo without the use of nets. The pallet is structurally attached to the shell to f
21、orm a single structural unit. SAE AIR1869C Page 4 of 229A nonstructural container is defined as a bottomless rigid shell made of composite, metal, or other suitable materials. Its shape conforms to the interior contour of the airplane. It covers the maximum usable area of an airplane pallet to which
22、 it is secured with a cargo net assembly. Cargo loading provisions for 88 in x 125 in and/or 96 in x 125 in pallets and containers are optional for some wide-body aircraft. The airline or airframe manufacturer should be consulted for the cargo loading system configuration for a specific airplane or
23、airplane type. 3.1 A change bar (|) located in the left margin is for the convenience of the user in locating areas where technical revisions, not editorial changes, have been made to the previous issue of this document. An (R) symbol to the left of the document title indicates a complete revision o
