SCOPE 1.1 Form This specification covers a corrosion and heat-resistant cobalt-chromium-molybdenum alloy in the form of bars. 1.2 Application These

TECHNICAL REQUI
13、REMENTS 3.1 Composition Shall conform to the percentages by weight shown in Table 1, determined by wet chemical methods in accordance with ASTM E 354, by spectrochemical methods, or by other analytical methods acceptable to purchaser. Limits may be established and analysis required for unnamed elements by agreement between the manufacturer or
15、 supplier and purchaser. 3.1.2 Cobalt may be reported as “remainder”, or as the difference between the sum of results for all elements and 100%, or as the result of direct analysis. 3.1.3 When all elements in the table are analyzed, the sum shall be 99.5% minimum, but such determination is not requi
16、red for routine acceptance of each lot. 17、8.4 and 8.5): 3.3.1 Tensile Properties Shall be as shown in Table 2 for the warm-worked condition, determined in accordance with ASTM E 8/E 8M. 19、 or equivalent (See 8.2), in the warm-worked condition determined in accordance with ASTM E 18. 3.4 Quality Product, as received by purchaser, shall be uniform in quality and condition, sound, and free from foreign materials and from defects detrimental to usage of the product. 3.5 Tolerances Shall
20、conform to AMS2241. 4. QUALITY ASSURANCE PROVISIONS 4.1 Responsibility for Inspection The vendor of the product shall supply all samples for vendors tests and shall be responsible for the performance of all required tests. Purchaser reserves the right to sample and to perform any confirmatory testin
21、g deemed necessary to ensure that the product conforms to specified requirements. 4.2 Classification of Tests All technical requirements are acceptance tests and shall be performed on each heat or lot as applicable. 4.3 Sampling and Testing Shall be in accordance with AMS2371 and the following; a lo
22、t shall be all product with the same form, from the same heat, processed at one time through all steps of manufacture. SAE INTERNATIONAL AMS5918 Page 3 of 5_ 4.3.1 One or more chemical analysis samples from each heat shall be analyzed in accordance with 3.1. 4.3.2 One or more longitudinal tensile sp
23、ecimens from each lot shall be tested in accordance with 3.3.1. The axis of tensile specimens shall be located midway between the center and surface of product over 1.50 inches (38.1 mm) in nominal cross-sectional thickness. 4.3.3 One or more hardness specimens from each lot shall be tested in accor
24、dance with 3.3.2 at mid-radius location. 4.4 Reports The vendor of the product shall furnish with each shipment a report showing the results of tests on each lot to determine conformance to the technical requirements. This report shall include the purchase order number, lot number, AMS5918, size, an
25、d quantity. 4.5 Resampling and Retesting Shall be in accordance with AMS2371. 5. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Identification Individual pieces or bundles shall have attached a durable tag marked with not less than the purchase order number, this specification number and nominal size or shall be boxe
26、d and the box marked with the same information. 5.2 Packaging Product shall be prepared for shipment in accordance with commercial practice and in compliance with applicable rules and regulations pertaining to the handling, packaging, and transportation of the product to ensure carrier acceptance an
27、d safe delivery. 6. ACKNOWLEDGMENT A vendor shall mention this specification number in all quotations and when acknowledging purchase orders. 7.
