9、RE SPECIMEN4.2 Adhesive Bondline ThicknessEvaluate adhesive bondline thickness at 0.25 mm and 0.8 mm. Bondlinethickness can be controlled by inserting wire or glass bead spacers into the adhesive. The spacer volume shallnot exceed 1% of the total adhesive volume.4.3 Adhesive ApplicationThe quantity
10、of adhesive used to prepare the bond should be regulated to avoidexcess squeeze-out. Squeeze-out at the edges of the bond shall be removed prior to curing.4.4 Clamping and FixturingBonding surfaces shall be firmly fixed and retained through cure cycle.4.5 Adhesive CureAdhesive shall be cured in acco
11、rdance with the adhesive suppliers or automotive engineersrecommendation.4.6 ConditioningBonded specimens shall be allowed to return to ambient temperatures for 1 h minimum prior totesting.5. Testing5.1 ApparatusTest apparatus as described in ASTM D 1002.5.2 Sample ClampingThe distance between clamp
