6、SC2.1 The Normal Temperature test in clause 25 and the Abnormal Temperature test in clause 26, whenconducted, shall be conducted using the input power supply sources described below, in turn:a) The ballast shall be operated directly from the mains supply as required by clauses 21.6,21.7 and 21.9.b)
7、The ballast shall be operated with a single, appropriately rated semiconductor diode in series(half-wave rectification) with the ungrounded conductor of the supply described in (a).c) The ballast shall be operated with an adjustable dimmer electrically wired in series with thesupply described in (a)
8、. This dimmer shall have the following characteristics:1) It shall be an adjustable phase-cut type that does not contain any components in itsoutput circuitry for waveform smoothing,2) It shall produce an output waveform with a variable conduction angle similar to thatdepicted in Figure SC1, to be c

Toaddress this concern, clause SC2 provides specific criteria for the supply sources used during both normaland abnormal temperature testing. This CRD substantially follows the requirements for self-ballasted lamps - UL 1993, 3rd Edition, clause8.12 (tests of dimmer circuits).Copyri
