Significance and Use3.1 The purpose of this practice is to provide the minimummanufacturing requirements for amusement rides and devicesand to provide the minimum requirements for a written qualityassurance program for an amusement ride or devicemanufacturer,
8、or component supplier. This is not intended toinclude suppliers of off-the-shelf components (for example,fasteners, electrical wire).4. Drawing Control Procedure4.1 A procedure shall be in effect so that appropriatemanufacturing drawings, their engineering revisions, and re-lated documents are utili
9、zed.5. Material and Component Control Procedure5.1 A procedure shall be in effect so that materials,processes, and components, including raw materials, are inaccordance with the engineering specifications.5.1.1 This procedure shall provide the purchasing agentwith all the information required to ord
10、er appropriate material.5.1.2 A receiving procedure shall be in effect so thatincoming material and components are checked against thepurchasing specifications.5.1.3 A procedure shall be in effect so that material in stockcan be properly identified for future use.5.1.4 Documentation on any material,
11、 process, or compo-nents certified shall be filed for reference.6. 17、engineer before components, subassemblies, or sys-tems are placed into use.6.3 Quality Assurance Program:6.3.1 The manufacturer of an amusement ride or deviceshall have a written quality assurance program as specified inPractice F1193 for use in conjunction with the design,manufacture, construction,
18、 modification, or reconditioning ofthe amusement ride or device.6.3.2 Quality assurance documents, that is, materialcertifications, test reports, and inspection reports, shall beretained for a period of time as deemed appropriate by themanufacturers.7. Inspection7.1 A procedure shall be in effect so
19、 that appropriateinspections are made on manufactured parts andsubassemblies, for conformance with the designer/engineerspecified criteria.7.2 A procedure shall be in effect so that appropriateinspections are made on purchased components.7.3 A procedure shall be in effect so that completedsubassembl
20、ies, or where practical, the assembled amusementrides or devices are inspected prior to delivery.7.4 Non-conforming components found in 7.1, 7.2,or7.3shall be identified and evaluated. Disposition of the non-conforming components shall be one of the following:7.4.1 The non-conforming component shall
21、 be scrapped orrejected, or7.4.2 The non-conforming component shall be altered suchthat it cannot be used in the specific intended application forthe component, or7.4.3 The non-conforming component shall be reworked tobring it into compliance and re-inspected in conformance with7.1, 7.2,or7.3 of thi
22、s practice.7.4.4 The design of the non-conforming component shall bere-evaluated in accordance with 6.2 of this practice, and thedrawing or documentation shall be modified or created to allowthe component to be used as is.8. Welding8.1 Welding and welding procedures shall be in accordancewith the ap
23、propriate American Welding Society (ANSI.AWSD1 specification) or the American Society of MechanicalEngineers, or other equivalent standard, and be performed byappropriately certified or qualified welders as required by thestandard.8.2 Documentation for certified or qualified welders shall bemaintain
24、ed.9. Certification9.1 Before a manufacturer ships an amusement ride ordevice, the manufacturer shall generate a document certifyingthat the amusement ride or device is in compliance withPractice F1193. This certification shall be retained with otherquality assurance documents for the amusement ride
25、 or device.When requested by an amusement ride or device-certifyingauthority, purchaser, or owner, the manufacturer shall providea copy of this certification document.10. Information Requirements10.1 The information given in 10.2 and 10.310.15.3 shallbe included, where applicable, on the information
26、 plate asspecified in 10.2, and in the documented operating andmaintenance instructions to be furnished by the manufactureror seller at the time of sale of each amusement ride or device.10.2 Information PlateAmanufacturer-issued informationplate, printed in English, shall be permanently affixed to t
27、heride or device in a visible location, and shall be designed toremain legible for the expected life of the ride or device. Theplate shall include, but not be restricted to, all applicable itemslisted in 10.2 10.2.8.10.2.1 Ride Serial NumberA manufacturer-issued uniqueidentifying number or code affi
28、xed to the ride in a permanentfashion.10.2.2 Ride Name and ManufacturerA manufacturer-issued unique identifying ride name, including the name of themanufacturer by city, state, and country.10.2.3 Ride Model NumberA manufacturer-issued uniqueidentifying number or code assigned to each manufactured ty
29、peof ride having the same structural design or components.10.2.4 Date of ManufactureThe date (month and year)determined by the manufacturer that the given ride or devicemet his required construction specifications.10.2.5 Ride SpeedMaximum and minimum revolutions ordistance per unit of time, as appli
30、cable.10.2.6 Direction of TravelWhen the proper direction oftravel is essential to the design operation of the ride, themanufacturer shall designate the direction of travel, includingreference point for this designation.10.2.7 Passenger Capacity by WeightMaximum total pas-senger weight per passenger
31、 position and per ride.10.2.8 Passenger Capacity by NumberMaximum totalnumber of adult or child passengers per passenger position andper ride.10.3 Ride DurationThe actual time the ride is in operationor a passenger is exposed to the elements of the ride functions,including passenger restrictions to
32、maximum exposure time,shall be included.10.4 Recommended Balance of Passenger Loading orUnloadingWhen passenger distribution is essential to theproper operation of the ride or device, the appropriate loadingand unloading procedure with respect to weight distributionshall be provided.10.5 Environment
33、al RestrictionsRecommendations foroperational restrictions relating to environmental conditionssuch as, but not limited to, wind, rain, salt corrosion, andextreme heat or cold.10.6 Recommended Passenger RestrictionsWhereapplicable, any recommended passenger limitations such as,but not limited to, he

36、mic InformationThe following informationshall be provided for the amusement ride or device when it isin an operational state: height, width, diameter, and weight.10.12 Trailering InformationEach trailer necessary for thetransport of a portable amusement ride or device shall beprovided with the follo
37、wing information: height, width, length,and weight.10.13 Fastener ScheduleA manufacturer-issued schedulefor the correct grade, torque, and placement of all fastenersused in the assembly, or erection, or both, of the ride or device.10.14 Design Loads per Connection PointLoads for eachfooting or equiv
38、alent structural connection point as calculatedfor all the various load combinations as required by Section 8,Loads and Strengths, of Practice F2291.10.15 Elements and StructuresProvided the proposedowner/operator furnishes the manufacturer with necessary dataconcerning proposed installation and usa
39、ge of the ride ordevice, the manufacturer shall provide to the proposed owner/operator a description of all structural interface between theride or device and the owner/operator supports. This structuralrequirement definition shall include the following:10.15.1 Maximum static design loads of each fo
40、oting orequivalent structural connection,10.15.2 Maximum dynamic design loads of each footing orequivalent structural connection, and10.15.3 Any other structural interface design specification.11. Operational Instruction Requirements11.1 The manufacturer of an amusement ride or deviceshall provide,
41、with delivery of each ride or device,documented, recommended operating instructions in the Eng-lish language. These instructions shall include, but not belimited to the following:11.1.1 Description of the ride or device operation, includingthe function and operation of its major components.11.1.1.1
42、Description of the motion(s) of the ride or deviceduring operation.11.1.1.2 Description of the recommended passenger loadingprocedures during operation, including recommended seating,where applicable.11.1.2 Recommended safety procedures and instructions,and information about safety equipment pertain
43、ing to patronsand ride or device operators and attendants.11.1.2.1 Maximum total passenger weight and maximumnumber of passengers by carrier unit or ride total.11.1.2.2 Description of the passenger restraint system, itsrecommended use and operation.11.1.2.3 Ride or device operator and attendant safe
44、ty check:recommended visual or other inspections to be performed byride or device operators and attendants prior to and during eachride or device cycle.11.1.2.4 Instructions to the patron: recommended informa-tion that should be made available to each patron of the ride ordevice.11.1.2.5 Recommendat
45、ions for operational restriction relat-ing to environmental conditions such as wind, rain, or tem-perature fluctuation.11.1.3 Manufacturers recommended ride or device operat-ing procedures, including the location of ride or deviceoperators and attendants.11.1.3.1 Description of the recommended, dail
46、y pre-opening inspection to be performed by ride or device opera-tor(s) and attendants that is in addition to previously performedmaintenance or other inspections.11.1.3.2 Description of the recommended ride or deviceoperator(s) and attendants positions and functions.11.1.3.3 Description of the reco

Testing Performance Requirements12.1 Developmental Testing RequirementsWher
49、eapplicable, as determined by the manufacturer/designer, thefollowing test procedures shall be developed and performed ona prototype amusement ride or device in order that themanufacturer/designer may determine the appropriateness foruse, of not only the parts, but the entire system of a newlydesigned ride or device.12.1.1 Procedures to Verify Maximum Safe Design Loads:12.1.1.1 Procedures to verify such design characteristics asrelevant deflections, loads, and forces that are placed on boththe equipment and the passengers during operation of the
