The hydrogen peroxide content shall be determined for each of fipacketc as foilows: Weigh the pac
20、ket to the nearest 0.0001 g, empty and dissolve the powder in 10 milliliters (ml) of water in a 500-1111 iodine flask, and reweigh the empty packet. the flask, add 30 ml of 30-percent sulfuric acid and 3 drops of saturated ammonium molybdate sol uti on. Mix thoroughly and add, with agi tati on, appr
21、oximately 200 ml of l-percent potassium iodide. to standin the closed flask for 5 minutes and titrate the liberated iodine with standardized 0.1N sodium thiosulfate solution, using starch as the indicator. Place five packets in a desiccator containing water. Cover the desiccator and heat in a constant temperature oven at 65 t 2 C
23、 for 8 hours. Determine the percent hydrogen peroxide content of each packet as specified in 4.2.4.2.1. Packets shall not be in contact with the water. 4.2.4.2.3 After aging,. PREPARATION FOR DELIVERY 5.1 Packaging, interplant shipment (see 6.6). Fourtem packets of sodium pyrophosphate perosi de prepared
25、 as shown on Drawing B5-77-209 shall be packaged in a vial conforming to Drawing 55-77-485, and the cover shall be securely closed. 5.2 Packing, interpiant shipnent. Unless otherwise speicfied (see 6.2) 100 filled vials of 5.1 shall be packed uprisht in a snug-fitting fiber- board box conforming to
26、the mini;num requiremiits of a style RSC,-type CF, class domestic variety SW, grade 125 of PPP-2-636. formed from the same materials as the box shall be inserted where needed to form a tight pack, The filled box shall be closed xthod I or II as specified in the appenciix to PPP-B-636. In addition to any special marking required by the contract or order, packages and shipping containers shall be marked in accordance with MIL-STD-129. Each package shall also be marke
28、d with the following: Item name. Lot number, Number af packets. Date packaged. Expiration date (3 years from date of manufacture). 6. NOTES 6.1 Intended use. The packets of sodi um pyrophosphate peroxi de covered by this specification are intended to be used in detector kits for the detection of G-a
29、gents . 6.2 Ordering data. Procurement documents should specify the following: (a) Title, number, and date of this specification. (b) Quantity of filled vials, per shipping container. 6.3 Precautions. Sodium pyrophosphate peroxide will decompose under the influence of metal catalysts (such as iron,
30、copper, lead, magnesium, and cobalt, and their ions). will also cause decomposition, often violent. Therefore, contamination by potential catalysts must be avoided when storins, handling, or using this material. Equipment used must be dry: ceramic material, stainless steel, aluminum, well-scoured wo
31、od, or fiberboard. Easily oxidizable or combustible substances 6.4 Batch. A batch is defined as that quantity of material which has been manufactured by some unit chemical process or subjected to some physical mixing operation intended to niake the final product substantially uniform. 6.5 Significan
