The hose shall consist of a compounded elastomer inner tube, one or more plies of synthetic fiber reinforcement material, static wire, and compounded elastomer cover (see 4.6.2). The hose

23、shall not leak. The color of the hose shall be sand matte in accordance with FED-STD-595, color chip 33446. The tube shall be fabricated of an elastomer compounded material which is resistant to hydrocarbon fuels, and shall not have any deleterious effects upon any type and grade of fuel conforming

24、to MIL-G-3056, ASTM D910, MIL-T-5624, or A-A-52557. The tube shall be smooth and free of pits. The cover shall be of an elastomer compounded for fuel, oil, sunlight, water and ozone resistance. The cover shall be uniform in thickness. 3.3.1 Wic wire. The static wires shall be embedded within or betw

Not less than 1.0 in. nor greater than 1.5 in. of each wire shall be in intimate contact with the couplings such that the resistance between the couplings shall not exceed 1

27、.5 ohms per linear foot of hose (see 4.6.13). The static wire shall not reach beyond the first hose band and in no case shall the wire protrude into the flow path. 3.3.2 Color lav-line. A longitudinal black lay-line shall be marked on the outer cover of the hose. It shall be not less than 0.125 in.

28、wide and shall be continuous for the full length of the hose. The lay-line shall remain clear, distinct and legible for the life of the hose. Handling, bending, fuel, or environmental effects shall not adversely affect the lay-line (see 4.6.2). 3.3.3 Reinforcement. The reinforcement of the hose shal

Type IX dust caps or the type X dust plug conforming to MIL-C-27487 shall be provided for the coupling halves by means of chain attachments or other similar attachments (see 4.6.2). 3.3.4.2 Band fittings. Each coupling shall

32、 be banded to the hose by bands conforming to A-A-52554. There shall be 2 bands for each end of every hose. Each band shall be 0.625 in. The bands shall be covered with a non-vivid and non-reflective neoprene sleeve to protect the user (see 4.6.2). 3.4 Performance 3.4.1 Diameter. weight. and length.
