29、ssemblies shall conform to the material requirementsas cited in ASME A112.6.1M. Waste fittings shall beof cast iron, bronze, plastic, or other materials capableof withstanding the pressure testing in section 4.3 REQUIREMENTS3.1 GeneralOff-the-floor framing-affixed supports for water clos-ets shall c
30、onsist of an integral tank, a supply pipe tothe water closet, a waste fitting from the water closet,and support assembly. The support assembly shall incor-porate as a minimum a support structure complete withfasteners to mount and connect the fixture, fitting, andpiping to carry the waste from the f

33、 of sufficientstrength to accept a load of 500 lb (225 kg) locatedat the front edge of the fixture. The assembly shallwithstand this loading without failure, permanent distor-tion, or excessive deflection when the system assemblyis rigidly secured, when tested in accordance withsection 4.3.3 Waste F
34、ittingsWaste fittings shall be of sanitary design with noobstructions, protuberances, or other irregularities inthe flow passageways that can cause a build-up ofsolids or a stoppage, or restrict the flow of wastematerial. Changes in direction shall be designed todeflect flow into the waste line with
35、 as little turbulenceas possible and generally in accord with plumbingwaste and vent fitting practice. All flow passages shall2pass solids at least as large as those that can passthrough the connected fixture. See ASME A112.19.2Mfor water closet trap dimensions. Venting size shall bein accordance wi
36、th accepted engineering practice asdefined in the model plumbing codes for water closets.The inlet to the waste fitting shall accommodate theoutlet of a two-bolt-mounted water closet outlet.3.4 Special FixturesWater closet supports shall be permitted to beequipped with an optional integral flush tan
37、k. The flushtank shall be equipped with a ball cock complyingwith ANSI/ASSE 1002.3.5 FaceplatesWhen provided, faceplates shall be of material de-signed to provide the necessary strength and rigidityas outlined in paras. 3.1 and 3.2. On vertically adjustableunits, the faceplate shall provide a watert

40、cessary to support the fixture consistentwith the performance requirements of this Standard.4 TEST REQUIREMENTS4.1 Waste Fittings4.1.1 Test Method. The waste fittings shall beassembled and all but one end capped. One end ofthe assembly shall be assembled to an air pressuredevice capable of achieving
41、 pressures from 010 psig(069 kPa gauge).34.1.2 Performance Requirements. Waste fittingsshall withstand an air pressure of 5 psig (35 kPa gauge)for one minute without leakage.4.2 Load Test (See Fig. 2)4.2.1 Test Method. The support shall be affixedto framing members in accordance with manufacturersin
42、structions. The fixture shall be assembled to thesupport. The elevation of the top edge of the fixtureat its outermost edge shall be recorded. A 500 lb (225kg) load shall be placed on the front edge of the fixturefor a period of 5 minutes. After placement of the load,the top edge shall be measured a
43、gain. After removalof the load, the elevation shall be measured again.4.2.2 Performance Requirements. The supportshall not deflect greater than 0.250 in. (6.3 mm) duringthe application of the load. The fixture shall return towithin 0.125 in. (3.1 mm) of the first measurementupon removal of the load.
