18、3 Mill Test Report.6. Materials and Manufacture6.1 Materials:6.1.1 The material of manufacture shall be a form of CopperAlloy UNS Nos. C49260, C49300, C49340, and C49350 ofsuch purity and soundness as to be suitable for processing intothe products prescribed herein.6.1.2 In the event heat identifica
19、tion or traceability isrequired, the purchaser shall specify the details desired.NOTE 1Due to the discontinuous nature of the processing of castingsinto wrought products, it is not always practical to identify a specificcasting analysis with a specific quantity of finished material.6.2 Manufacture:6
20、.2.1 The product shall be manufactured by such hot work-ing, cold working, and annealing processes as to produce auniform wrought structure in the finished product.6.2.2 The product shall be hot or cold worked to the finishedsize, and subsequently annealed when required, to meet thetemper properties
21、 specified.7. Chemical Composition7.1 The material shall conform to the chemical compositionrequirements in Table 1 for the copper alloy UNS Numbersspecified in the ordering information.7.2 These composition limits do not preclude the presenceof other elements. By agreement between the manufacturer
22、andpurchaser, limits may be established and analysis required forunnamed elements.7.3 For alloys in which zinc is listed as “remainder,” zinc isthe difference between the sum of results of all elementsdetermined and 100 %. When all elements in Table 1 aredetermined, the sum of results shall be 99.5
23、% min.8. Temper8.1 The standard tempers for products described in thisspecification are given in Table 2.8.1.1 Annealed: 061 for rod and bar8.1.2 As Hot Extruded: M30 for rod and bar8.1.3 Cold drawn half hard temper: H02 for rod and bar8.1.4 Cold drawn hard temper: H04 for wire8.1.5 Hot extruded and

Mechanical Property Requirements9.1 Tensile Strength Requirements:9.1.1 Product furnished under this specification shall con-form to the tensile requirements prescribed in Table 2, whentested in accordance with Test Methods E8 or E8M.9.1.2 Acceptance or rejecti
25、on shall be based upon the tensileproperties prescribed in Table 2.10. 32、 blemishes ofa nature that do not interfere with the intended application areacceptable.13. Sampling13.1 Refer to sampling section in Specifications B249/B249M or B250/B250M.14. Number of Tests and Retests14.1 Test:14.1.1 Chemical AnalysisChemical composition shall bedetermined in accordance with th
33、e element mean of the resultsfrom at least two replicate analyses of the sample(s).14.2 Retest:14.2.1 When requested by the manufacturer or supplier, aretest shall be permitted when results of tests obtained by thepurchaser fail to conform to the requirements of the productspecification.14.2.2 The r
34、etest shall be as directed in the product speci-fication for the initial test, except the number of test specimensshall be twice that normally required for the specified test.14.2.3 All test specimens shall conform to the productspecification requirement(s) in retest. Failure to conform shallbe caus

Test Methods15.1 Chemical Analyses:15.1.1 In cases of disagreement, the resolution of thedispute shall be subject to agreement between the manufactureror supplier and purchaser. Inspection17.1 The manufacturer, or supplier, shall inspect and maketests necessary to verify the furnished product conforms tospecification requirements.17.2 Source inspection of the product by
44、the purchaser maybe agreed upon between the manufacturer, or supplier, and thepurchaser as part of the purchase order. In such case, the natureof the facilities needed to satisfy the inspector, representing thepurchaser, that the product is being furnished in accordancewith the specification shall b
45、e included in the agreement. Alltesting and inspection shall be conducted so as not to interfereunnecessarily with the operation of the works.17.3 When mutually agreed upon, the manufacturer, orsupplier, and the purchaser shall conduct the final inspectionsimultaneously.18. Rejection and Rehearing18
46、.1 Rejection:18.1.1 Product that fails to conform to the specificationrequirements when tested by the purchaser or purchasers agentshall be subject to rejection.18.1.2 Rejection shall be reported to the manufacturer orsupplier promptly. In addition, a written notification of rejec-tion shall follow.
47、18.1.3 In case of dissatisfaction with results of the test uponwhich rejection is based, the manufacturer, or supplier, shallhave the option to make claim for a rehearing.18.2 Rehearing:18.2.1 As a result of product rejection, the manufacturer, orsupplier, shall have the option to make claim for a r
48、etest to beconducted by the manufacturer, or supplier, and the purchaser.Samples of the rejected product shall be taken in accordancewith the product specification and subjected to test by bothparties using the test method(s) specified in the productspecification, or alternately, upon agreement of b
49、oth parties, anindependent laboratory may be selected for the test(s) using thetest method(s) specified in the product specification.19. Certification19.1 When specified in the purchase order or contract, thepurchaser shall be furnished certification that samples repre-senting each lot have been either tested or inspected as directedin this specification and requirements have been met.20.
