Sampling4.1 When specified by the purchase agreement, samples ofgypsum panel products shall be taken at the place of manufac-t
5、ure or at the destination. If the samples are taken at thedestination, such samples shall be taken within 24 h of thereceipt of the material.4.2 At least 0.25 % of the number of gypsum panel productsin a shipment, but not less than three gypsum panel products,shall be so selected as to be representa
6、tive of the shipment andshall constitute a sample for the purpose of tests by thepurchaser or user.5. Inspection5.1 Inspection of the gypsum panel products shall be agreedupon between the purchaser and the producer or supplier aspart of the purchase agreement.6. Rejection6.1 Rejection of gypsum pane
7、l products that fails to con-form to the requirements of the specification shall be reportedto the producer or supplier promptly and in writing. The noticeof rejection shall contain a statement documenting how thegypsum panel products has failed to conform to the require-ments of the specification.7
8、 Certification7.1 When specified in the purchase agreement, a producersor suppliers report shall be furnished at the time of shipmentcertifying that the product is in compliance with the ASTMspecification referencing this specification.8. Packaging and Marking8.1 Each gypsum panel product or packag
9、e shall havelegibly marked thereon the following: the thickness, the nameof the producer or supplier, the brand name, if any, and theASTM specification for the product.8.2 In addition to the marking described in 8.1, gypsumboard manufactured to Specification C1396/C1396M shall bemarked as described
10、in Annex A1.8.3 Single, unbound panels of gypsum board manufacturedto Specification C1396/C1396M that are packaged in multi-panel units shall be permitted to be marked as a palletizedpackaging unit. These units are typically packaged to meetspecific contractual requirements and as such the markingre
11、quirements of 8.1 and 8.2 are not applicable.9. Shipping, Handling, and Storage9.1 Gypsum panel products shall be shipped so as to be keptdry.9.2 Gypsum panel products shall be stored so as to be keptdry, preferably inside a building. Gypsum panel products shallbe neatly stacked flat with care taken
