Ordering Information4.1 The purchaser shall specify the material desired as“grout fluidifier for preplaced-aggregate concrete.” The mate-rial shall mee

Materials5.1 Grout ingredients shall conform to the following re-quirements:5.1.1 Portland cement shall meet the requirements of Speci-fication C150 for the type to be used.5.1.2 Pozzolan shall meet the requirements of SpecificationC618.5.1.3 Fine aggregat

10、e shall meet the requirements of Speci-fication C33 except that grading shall conform to SpecificationC637, Table number 2, Grading 1 for Fine Aggregate.6. Physical Requirements Physical Requirements6.1 The fluidifier, when tested in grout as specified herein,shall conform to the following requireme

Composition7.1 The fluidifier shall be composed of materials that willyield a product having the properties stipulated under PhysicalRequirements when tested i

16、n accordance with this specifica-tion.8. Sampling8.1 The test sample of fluidifier shall have a mass of at least225g(12 lb) and shall be representative of the materialsupplied. When feasible, the test sample shall be compositedfrom grab samples taken from not fewer than four packagesselected at rand

Test Method9.1 Summary of MethodPhysical properties of grout con-taining fluidifier are determined and compared with corre-sponding properties of grout made without fluidifier.9.2 Significance and UseThe effects of adding fluidifier toa standard grout mixture are determined in order to evaluat

18、e itsability to reduce mixing water, prevent early stiffening, holdsolid constituents in suspension, produce controlled expansionprior to initial setting, and maintain or increase compressivestrength.9.3 Procedure:9.3.1 Have all grout materials including mixing water at23.0 6 2.0C (73.5 6 3.5F) at t

19、he start of the test.9.3.2 Maintain the laboratory and curing room at 23.0 62.0C (73.5 6 3.5F) at all times during testing.9.3.3 Grout Preparation:9.3.3.1 Proportion two grout mixtures, one a control mix-ture without and one a test mixture with the grout fluidifierunder consideration, each containin

20、g equal parts, by weight, ofcementitious material and fine aggregate, with sufficient waterto produce a grout efflux time by Test Method C939 of 21 6 2s. The cementitious material shall consist of two parts portlandcement to one part of pozzolan, by weight.9.3.3.2 The test mixture shall contain grou

21、t fluidifier equalto 1% of the combined weight of portland cement pluspozzolan; unless otherwise recommended by the manufacturer.The control mixture shall contain no fluidifier.9.3.3.3 The volume of each batch shall be approximately0.03 m3(1 ft3).9.3.3.4 Mix grout in a mixer of the type shown in Fig

22、. 1 ofPractice C938. Dampen the inside of the drum, start the mixerand charge ingredients within a period of 2 min in thefollowing order: water, fluidifier (if used), pozzolan, cement,and fine aggregate. Mix for 3 to 314 min.9.3.3.5 Determine time of efflux by Test Method C939.Ifwithin acceptable ra

Rejection10.1 The fluidifier shall be rejected if it fails to meet any ofthe requirements of this specification.11. Packaging and Marking11.1 Grout fluidifier shall be packaged in moisture-resistantcontainers and s

28、tored in a dry covered area to prevent deterio-ration.11.2 Containers shall be marked to provide at least thefollowing information:11.2.1 A statement to the effect that the contained materialmeets the requirements of this specification.11.2.2 Weight of the contained material.11.2.3 Basic instruction
