1、Designation: D 3844 02Standard Guide forLabeling Chlorinated Hydrocarbon Solvent Containers1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D 3844; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of revision, the year of last revision. A nu

2、mber in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope1.1 This guide is intended to provide industrial health andsafety labeling for the following chlorinated hydrocarbonsolvents: methylene chlo

3、ride, perchloroethylene, and trichlo-roethylene. Additional labeling may be required if otherchemicals are mixed with these solvents, or if special contain-ers (for example, aerosol packages) are employed.2. 6、 Chemical product labeling is required by the OSHAHazard Communications Standard 29 CFR 1910.1200. ANSIStandard Z129.1 establishes specific guidelines for preparationof labeling consistent with the OSHA Standard. This guide isintended as an interpretation of these standards as they apply tothese spe

Solvent suppliers should be consulted beforelabeling containers of these products.5.3 Some states require identification of any componentspresent
