1、Designation: D 5491 03Standard Classification forRecycled Post-Consumer Polyethylene Film Sources forMolding and Extrusion Materials1This standard is issued under the fixed designation D 5491; the number immediately following the designation indicates the year oforiginal adoption or, in the case of
2、revision, the year of last revision. A number in parentheses indicates the year of last reapproval. Asuperscript epsilon (e) indicates an editorial change since the last revision or reapproval.1. Scope*1.1 This document provides for the classification of post-consumer polyethylene (PE) film derived
3、from specificsources. It also identifies characteristics that the user andsupplier can agree upon in determining the acceptability of thefilm for recycling into molding and extrusion materials. It isneither the intent nor the purpose of this classification tospecify the suitability of the recycled m

The separation bysource also improves the usefulness of the material. Sourcesare post-consumer PE films from shrink wrap, dry cleaningfilm, merchandise bags, groc

Other post-consumer PE films may be added to this classification whensuch material streams are defined.1.3 It is not the function of this classification to provide datafor
