Scope*1.1 This specification covers industrial grade ethylene gly-col.1.2 The

3、following safety hazards caveat pertains only to thetest method portion, Section 5, of this specification: Thisstandard does not purport to address all of the safety concerns,if any, associated with its use. It is the responsibility of the userof this standard to establish appropriate safety and hea

4、lthpractices and determine the applicability of regulatory limita-tions prior to use.1.3 Review the current Materials Safety Data Sheets(MSDS) for detailed information concerning toxicity, first aidprocedures, handling and safety precautions.1.4 The following applies to all specified limits in thiss

5、tandard; for purposes of determining conformance with thisstandard, an observed value or a calculated value shall berounded off “to the nearest unit” in the last right-hand digitused in expressing the specification limit, in accordance withthe rounding-off method of Practice E29.1.5 The values state

Requirements3.1 Industrial grade ethylene glycol shall conform to thespecification chemical and physical requirements (see Table 1).4. Samplin

10、g4.1 Sample ethylene glycol in accordance with the appro-priate sections of Practice E300 for liquid samples.5. Test Methods5.1 Test each composite sample for chemical and physicalrequirements using the test methods specified in 3.1. Many ofthese methods, along with alternative test methods and tech

11、nologies, can be found in Test Methods E202. In case of adispute, test methods identified in 3.1 of this specification shallbe the preferred test method.6. Packaging, Package Markings, and Transportation6.1 The packaging, labeling, and transportation of commer-cial quantities shall conform to appli

12、cable federal, state, andlocal regulation. Conformance is the responsibility of themanufacturer and the shipper.7.
